  1. Syl Jr! That is impressive. Do you remember when we were up 3-0 on the Isles and lost game 7 at home 1-0 to a goal By Ed Westphal? My heartbreak was in 82 when we came back to tie up the series against the Isles and lead 3-1 in game 5 only to lose on overtime when the puck hopped over Norris Trophy winner Randy Caryle. Did you know that they are going with a different Darker blue jersey next year? If you like the current one... Pick it up while you can. Do you remember the famous Edmonton Pens bench brawl where Kim Clackson kept coming out of the Penalty Box to fight Dave Semenko? There is a highlight snippet on youtube. Andy
  2. I like that Marker you have. I have to pick that up next. Andy
  3. I found this on the Humbrol web site. It is a conversion chart of Humbrol paint to other brands of paint. ------------ Forgive me if this posted elseware. Cheers. Andy
  4. Try this link if the origional one does not work. http://www.hengstlertimers.com/ Andy
  5. Try this link instead. http://www.hengstlertimers.com/contents.htm Scroll down till you see 478 type. You need Acrobat reader to view the files.
  6. I figured that. It is hard to get a 400 model with a metal case. I just missed getting one earlier. I have a M38 scope. I am getting a Dummy Sterling. The Counter is hard to come buy. for $109.00 plus shipping it is as close you can get! Plus it is a Henglester! I have two resin ones that I wil be putting on my pipe builds. When I paint them black it will hard to tell unless a person is like one of us here. What also ticked me off is how many first shots of the game The Flower let in and how many long clean shots he let past as well? We outshot them as well with their shots being under 20! They shut down Ovechkin and us. Hats off to them! They deserved to win. How long have you been following the Penguins? Andy
  7. No they deserved to win! Mr. Softy gave up too many soft goals. You have one of our shut down Defenseman Hal Gill. You have a increadable Goalie in Halek. Talbot was not 100%. Malkin was snakebitten! McKee should have played he was our shotblocker. Also Ben Lovejoy should have played as well. We got the first shots off and we could not get to the rebounds. My second job is working at the arena. It is more of a perks job. See the games, discounts of the merchandise, walk in and out with the players. At tthe end of game five I walked out with Lemieux and his family. Andy
  8. I just found a place where you can order a "REAL HENGLESTER TYPE 478 COUNTER"! Click on the link.-------------- The company is Ohio Belting. Their phone number is 800.472.8886 I just ordered it by phone. I will post the shipping information when I get the confirmation email. I paid $109.00 U.S. plus shipping. They take Visa or Mastercard. The catch it will take 6-7 weeks to ship from Germany! I ordered type 478 plug in for the 400 system Part number "0 478 103" from the spec sheets. The company was very helpful. I said that the counter is for a project that I was working on. I will take detailed pictures of the counter when it comes in. I hope this discovery will help everyone out. Andy
  9. I do believe EVO'3 on these boards makes them. They are in kit form I do believe. Andy
  10. Terry, You are amazing! You should work for Hollywood! You have God gifted talent! You can put your tk next to a ANH screen used TK and people would think that your TK was the Screen used one! We are fortunate to have you here! Andy
  11. Jesse, I did use a popsicle stick to spread the E6000 on the stick. I also put some E6000 on the forearm as well. The magnets that I used to hold the strips in place pushed the glue outside of the edges. I am going to use my utility blade to trim the excess glue off then shine them up. Andy
  12. Michael, I will update my progress. I too emailed IMA about the Dummy Sterlings. The last one went for $700.00 in February! I asked them if they could order a deactivated Sterling and make sure it is BTAF approved. The told me NO! I also asked them if they could make a Dummy Sterling out of the parts kit that they sell. They said they will be offering Dummy Sterlings in the future. But, they will not be like the ones they had. Whatever that means. At the local gun show here in Pgh, a dealer was asking $450.00 for the long barrel. I was debating it. When I held the gun, I expected it to be heaver. Andy
  13. "GooGone" It removed "E6000" I did a remod on my ANH finishing strips. I glued the finishing strips and after 5 months I removed the strips with a utility blade, scraped as much as I can off. Put some "GooGone" on a paper towel and kept rubbing till it came off. Then I wet a paper towel with water wipe the parts. Dried them and used alochol prep pads to clean the surface and your are done. http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/327686/Goo-Gone-8-Oz/ You can find this at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Target, KMart, Etc. Andy
  14. Michael, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! Since IMA is out of Dummy Sterlings. This is more affortable. I just want a prop replica. I can pick up a parts kit trigger, grip, back and front end and it should be it. I was a gun show recently and was asking about converting the semi. This is much easier!
  15. Good for you! Building armor is a great way to take your mind of of things. Ever since I got my armor. I have been adicted to building. By reading posts here and on Carida's stite and other sites as well. The funniest is going to stores and looking at glues, boots and other parts to help with building. Also, I enjoy bikeriding like Quebectrooper, teaching myself keyboard and photography, and reading books. and also prayer. We alll are pulling for you and are here to help! Andy
  16. You did an EXCELLENT JOB with the moddeling iron on th etop of the shin. Nice and even! Andy

  18. How to re-trim ANH cover strips when already glued. One of the reasons I took a hiatus break from building my armor was my ANH cover strips. I was rushing because I was on a roll. After I glued them on I was looking at other builds and comparing it to mine I noticed that my strips looked like “tongue depressors”! Looking back I should have cut the strips to the correct “15mm” with. Hindsight is always 20/20. I noticed how strong the bond is of using “E-6000”. I was trying to find or see if there is something to remove the glue. I read a reply from my Advisor Wally Peters of “Garrison Carida”. He mention that You can pry the bond a part by force. So I decided to go that route. I used my utility knife by slowly trimming the glue to get between the Cover strip and the plastic. I was shocked that by some force slowly at a time the strip came off! I was excited. When I was slowly removing the strip, I was cutting gently and pushing. Then I pulled the blade out and put it in backwards to pry it off. I was glad. After I removed the strips, I scrapped the glue off both the Strips and the forearms. What is nice about using “E-6000” It doesn’t melt the armor. After, I scrapped almost all the glue off. I used ‘Goo Gone” to remove the rest. It worked. I then used a wet paper towel to wipe the armor off. Instead of measuring the strips and cutting them, I used one of my plastic signs that I had been using for the inside brace strips. I bought the signs at “Harbor Freight Tools. The sign is about 1 ½ mm thick. I made myself a cover strip template. I measured out both a “15 mm” biceps, and “20 mm” thighs and shins cover strips templates. It is not perfect. The strip may vary by 1 or 2 mm, because of trimming. I figure, I rather make a mistake on a $5.00 sign than messing up on the ABS strips. The template came in handy. I placed it on the strips and used a pencil to trace the pattern and it worked. I trimmed the strips wearing my rubber coated utility gloves. I CAN NOT STRESS HIGHLY ENOUGH TO BUY THEM!!!!! THE SAVED MANY TRIPS TO THE ER! After I had the strips trimmed, I rough up the backs by lightly sanding them and using my utility blade to make lines for the glue to grab hold to. Before gluing I prepped the strip by wiping it with a wet paper towel, and when dry, I used an alcohol prep pad to clean and when dry, I used the “E-6000” to run a bead down the strip and the seam line on the forearm. After letting it set for 5 minutes I added the strips to the left and right forearms. I used clamps on the ends and magnets in the middle. I put one strip on each forearm and let set for a day. The next day I glued the other side. I made another mistake during the glue. I put glue on the smooth side instead of the rough side of the strip. I was not thinking. Oh well. What I did was go into my ABS strips. I am glad that I asked for some extra ones to be put in. So I used them. After I cut the strip and rough the back side, I put some blue painters tape on the smooth side to identify the smooth side of the strip. I then glued the other side of the forearms, put the clamps and magnets on and let sit over night. After taking the clamps off, and looking at the results. I think they look much better. What I have to do is take my utility knife and trim off the excess glue that the clamps and magnets pushed out and then polish and they are done. The next step is to re trim the biceps cover strips.
  19. I just notice on Luke's E11 in this shot There is no counter, wires or power cylinders? I know that in ANH Some did have the extras and some did not.
  20. I have AP Armor. I am between 5'3 and 5'4 and currently 215 pounds. The Thighs, Biceps, Forearms, and Shins I can fit into without any shims. My problem is my waist as well. I will have to shim my waist. My other problem is trimmimg the tops of the thighs so I can walk in the armor. Andy
