  1. I agree, and forgot to mention that part as well. Most of the time little kids look up under the helmet and will see your face/facial hair/bucket accessories and will start calling you a fake, etc... After getting a good neck seal, balaklava, and painting the helmet interior black, noone has said anything about me be "fake". It just looks more proffessional in my opinion, and it helps give an impression that the helmet is "sealed" and not just a helmet.

Edit: Velcro, your avatar is awesome :)

  2. I was thinking about doing something like that but I don't want to have any cabels hanging or be in the way when I take on and off the helmet. So for now I am still gonna try have everything in the helmet.

    Thanks for your thoughts :)

What way I currently have it, the mic is small and is clipped on to my balaklava, pressed against my lips, so there is no wire in the helmet. You could also use a throat mic too.

  3. I helped someone assemble a FX TX which was a recast so it was harder to get pieces match up, and we had to do the helmet too, but we managed to do it in 3 days.

If you have people helping you out and you only need to do the armor, you can do it in one night.

FX armor is probably the easiest armor to assemble.

  4. For TROOPING I think FX is probably the best. If you want accuracy, then look elsewhere.

Here are the reasons why I like the FX:

The helmet is slightly oversized so you can simply put the helmet on and take it off without any problems.

It's made out of ABS plastic. It's tough, lightweight, durable, and can easily be polished up with scratch remover.

It comes pre-trimmed and ready to assemble (though in this case it already is assembled)

Symmetrical (for those who want a idealized trooper)

    One size fits most

    Cheap

Plastic thickness is even throughout the armor

You can always use an FX armor and maybe get a more accurate bucket, and that gives you the best of both worlds.

  5. No one is ganging up, have you read the thread? The part where it says good job. Can it be any clearer then that. Jason and Paul clearly state the respect that they have for one another. I actually agree with what Paul is doing. Paul has clearly shown in the past and present where he stands within his power to do so, he is doing a great job. KEEP things in there right CONTEXT, don't put words in other peoples mouths, those are your words NOT mine - no ganging up here & very civil.

Suggestions or discussions on how to maybe better things for the future should not be seen as argumentative.

Eh you're right, I read part of the thread and it seemed like this was another complaint thread directed at Paul, the last being about Leather belts, and I was just kinda tired of seeing that kind of stuff..
