Try resting it the part on a round surface and heat it up a bit and let it cool over the shape desired. Sorry to hear about the disaster, I myself hate having to use the heatgun.
For my eye bump, I was able to reduce it using hot glue when I put the lens in. It heated up the plastic just enough for me to push the bump down.

It's still 10-01-09 where I live

Oh I forgot WTB threads for helmets and armor is not allowed...

I'm not sure if those would be accepted as it seems to have a square toe instead of a round one.
They are nice shoes though.

It is 501st accepted, but it isn't "approved". That armor is a recast of another armor.

No light with this chip, but if your electronically inclined, you can do something with this:

Sorry to hear about your helmet.
Reasons like this is why the 501st requires a secure changing room at troopings.
-
If you cant bend more than 90 degrees, it means you should trim your forearms armor a bit.
-
You seem to fit the FX suit very well. Congrats!

You could try Ashton.
Communication might be lacking and he might take a while, but the end product is NICE.
Make sure to mention you want an ANH style holster, so far I've only seen him make ESB style.

When I first joined, I never actually looked at the CRL, I was just told to just buy FX armor and come to an armor party to put it together. I don't think the FISD existed back then, nor did I have access to 501st forums.

Agreed!!
Nothing p*$$** me off more than seeing some lazy SOB in a TK with black tube stripes and black ab buttons.
Calm down dude, some people don't know better as that is what comes standard with the FX kit.
When I started off, I wore black tube stripes and black buttons, until I found out the truth on FISD.
Some are also just happy as is.
intro and question about armor

Less then a month before Halloween is a bit of a time crunch. It is possible to do it, but if you're here asking about the rubies armor, it looks like you haven't done much research.
Doing the proper research to get the costume done right takes more than a month.
If your really serious, get in touch with your local 501st garrison and they can help you out.
The fastest way to get a decent costume done by Halloween, would be to get FX armor and use a lot of velcro. But you'll regret it down the road.
