No doubt no doubt.... My brow trim didnt survive removal so will have to order some. cut out the spot for teh lip and will bolt the halves together tomorrow. Going to give the chin seam one more taste of bondo as its not quite as smooth as Id like. Opened up the frown and gave the center tooth a little more height...frown looks much better.

OK, IM confused....it seems like somethings missing. Got teh helmet apart and I removed that inside tab from teh rear helmet but I CANT get my front and back to sit flush at the ears like you did. Please help me...argghhhhh

OK, I think Ive figured out whats missing on the CE...its teh frown...the center 'tooth' to be specific. I think when I do mine Im going to do everything I have seen here so far but in addition I am going to give the center tooth a little HEIGHT by adding a veneer/false front to give it a little more height....I think its too short and rounded at teh apex and I think that may make a world of difference. Thoughts?

I have dark Trooper boots and I like ;em...paid 60 bucks, got my boots and helped feed a kid...I like that.

Havent used one for trooping but my Camelback served me well in Iraq ESPECIALLY when it got to 137 degrees in August. I cant see where there would be any problem and certainly hydration is a must. Teh nice think about teh back of TK armor is you have that little indentation where the back detail is and thats a great spot for a camelback...

if ANYONE decides to do one like this and wouldnt mind getting paid to a second one simultaneously or even just mine PLMK. I live in a small studio apt in LA and no longer have access to teh space or tools necessary.

I think this is a great helmet for an ROTJ mod. Does anybody know of any ROTJ decal sets?

POSSIBLY a stupid question but what is MMD putty? Its not pink so its not Bondo so I am assuming some sort of modeling putty...

why do I have the feeling this helmet is going be incredible when its finished....

Folks just an FYI. Joe's wrists werent long. The gloves were long rubber gloves and he is wearing them OVER his forearm guards...ie his arm guards are tucked in to his gloves like some sort of 'seal' on his EVA trooper armor. The gloves as some of you may know are commercialy available rubber gloves with the little nubbies on the finger tips like dishwashing gloves.

Awesome. Mine arrived in the mail today (85 bucks off of Ebay)...quite teh deal and IMHO a GREAT helmet that these mods just make better. Id take teh CE over an FX ANY day. Im hoping someone comes out with some aftermarket bubble lenses.

Just wanna thank you folks for this thread. I was on the fence on this CE thing because of the ears but this thread sold me. Just ordered one and this thread is going to be my tutorial for fixing it. Prob gonna pick up a second CE and do a dark trooper. My Rubies Vader Supreme is just about done being modded out (still hating the center ridge on the dome) and as much trash as folks talk about that Rubies it mods up nice. corrected the number oc slots on the nose, added new lenses, pulled the nose insert and nasty tusks and took down the textured pseudo paint job. I may just replace the dome with an FG one. Simple threads like this are why I love this hobby. Thanks again
