It's probably a thin green acetate film. I would upgrade to grade 3 welding lens material, a lot of troopers do this including myself. There are numerous people who sell them here on the forum.

The one I have fits an FX and a TE2, but it's custom.

Ah yes, Trent. That's definitely his name. He said he had to custom make it. I'm note sure what that entails entirely, but I really like it. I get compliments from fellow troopers all the time.

I have one similar to that, but someone on the Legion boards made it for me. Has my TK number and the legion patch on it. It also has the Legion color scheme. I'll post up pics when I get home from work.

You are going to want to get something more screen accurate, its inevitable I was the same way when I first started. I bought FX because I didn't know any better and wish I had bought something more screen accurate to begin with. I have slowly upgraded my suit so it looks decent. I will be upgrading to something more screen accurate down the line.
