  1. Thanks Joey. It would be nice to see a group of these concept TK in the GGG also in due time. You know a few of us So Cal Guys are wanting to do a group of these troopers. But it looks like the UK guys going to CE will get them first. It was their idea to have this armor made and they contacted me to help. Kevin W.
  2. Wow it has been exactly 1 month to the date that this thread was started. We are at 140 post and a ton of progress has been made in this short amount of time. The shield looks great!!! Pete. Kevin W.
  3. The belt will be 2 separate Vac-formed parts that wrap around and connect on the sides. The side connectors will be hidden by the various vac-formed boxes attached around the belt. The rear belt section would over lap the top of the Butt. It could connect to the top of the Butt Plate using bolts if decided to bolt on the Thermal Detonator. Kevin W.
  4. Thanks Pete. I will think some more about the Chest... I worked on the Butt Plate. I had a bad mold of my S4 Clone Butt that has been sitting outside for about a year.... and thought I might be able to use it.
  5. So these are the images I keep looking at to find the similarities when sculpting the parts. Any thoughts on the different looking chest? Should there be a TK like version and a TD ? My thought is the TD could have the long rectangle shape in the center of the chest and the round thing over the upper right breast area and the TK without these things and be more plain. Kevin W.
  6. I'm liking the Old Flashlight as a base idea for these concept Lightsabers. Great job!!!
  7. The Thighs sculpt is DONE!!!! I am very happy with them...
  8. Yea I was totally thinking about the throat area the other day. I suggest to pad the chest so it is right up against your body. That way if someone bumps you or pushes on your chest.. the neck ring wont push into your throat Crushing you windpipe would be very bad!!! Kevin W.
  9. I was thinking the Shield could be vac-formed in 2 or 3 parts for the front. I see the Shield curving from left to right a little if not then at least different layers for sure. The handle looks good to me. Kevin W.
  10. Thank guys. I hope I can get a test pull of the thighs by next week. It looks to me that the Lightsaber hilt is short for only one hand. Also if you look at the GG bust, I think the right side hip box should hold the Lightsaber hilt. As for the Shield... are you planing on Vac-forming it? Kevin W.
  11. What the heck!!! I did some work on the Thighs and thought I would show how they are looking... I used the old initial sculpt for my Season 1-3 thighs as a base. I thought this could give everyone an idea on what the size will be. Front View of both the Left & Right Thighs
  12. And this is one of the ways I might make the Chest & Back assemble... Kevin W.
  13. I have to first say... I am so grateful for everyone's contribution to this project. Billy -The Comparison pics are perfect and exactly what I was wanting to know. With your help as well as Pete's and Stephen... Just to name a few... You guys really help me picture how this concept armor should look. But now at the same time I feel I have a bigger challenge ahead and a lot more pressure on me to get the look just right. I will try my best with the short time frame I have. Andy -That is a great find!! Thank you for posting that pic. Vern -Your insight on this project has my brain rattling on all the possible ways this armor could assemble to fit a verity of different sized people. That does not mean I can say that it will but you got my gears turning about it. Chris - I can not say that I will have a helmet on time for Cel Europe. But when I do make a helmet I was leaning more towards this style. Because 3 other people have made the more common looking helmet. I think I might be able to do a Vac-form version of this style. I do not think GG got their helmet right. This is what I think I see when looking a the sketch work. I changed the angel on the back to make it look a little more like the ANH helmets to help the two parts flow together better. GG made the center nose area look like a flat round disc. I think it looks like a protruding filter. And the mouth grill I think is not perfectly round. I think it should be sort of shaped like the mouth of Leia's Boush helmet or more like the front grill of a 1932 Ford truck. Kevin W.
  14. I just got my RMQ GG Mini Bust in the mail today!!! I think vac-forming the belt and vac-forming all the belt boxes should be no problem.. Do you feel GG got the arms and upper body look right???? Kevin W.
  15. You guys think the boot should have a... White Sole??? Or a ... Gray sole??? Kevin W.
  16. Those boots are GREAT!!!! A Gray color sole would be better. A medium gray close to the one on the Action figure would be nice. If it becomes too much of a hassle then black soles. But the upper parts of the boot is perfect with the zipper on the side and stitch patten in the front. I wear size 11 US if they are true to size. Please give me an idea on cost. Kevin W.
  17. I ordered the Gentle Giant RMQ Mini Bust. It should be getting it today or tomorrow. Kevin W.
  18. I keep thinking these might be the better boot to use... http://www.zappos.co...lsea-boot-black These are Dr. Martens Conrad Chelsea boots they run about $120.00 I'm just afraid the soles would be too obvious as Dr. Martens and take away from the complete look. Unless the soles can be painted gray. I really like the look of the top stitch running up. It might work out that it could blend up with the lines on the front of the armor shins. That would look sweet. In this picture it looks more like a boot with a slight heel. I just added a pic of the Action Figure. You can see the gray line running up the boot towards the shin. Also the Dr. Martens Conrad Chelsea boots look similar to the ANH TK boots which I think is a nice touch. And the Stiching running up towards the Shin help them from looking too much like the ANH boots and a little more like the action figure. I also think using a taller boot like this will help when wearing the armor. it will help keep the lower legs in place and keep them from cutting into our ankles. Kevin W.
  19. So this is what I intend to offer as the RMQ Concept TK Harness kit. Kevin W.
  20. I think I have come up with a Strap - Harness System similar to my S4 Animated Clones that will work out for the complete armor. I would also include the straps for the thighs and the all parts for the arms. Just like I do for the S4 Animated Harness. It will have different straps to help hold the Mid section Side Plates. These straps would a Gray color to match the under armor as best as possible. I also like the idea of possibly sewing Velcro to the Under armor Shirt on the sides just to also help keep the side plates in place and snug to our body. I'll try to get a drawing up soon. Kevin W.
  21. If the entire boot was to be custom made then I think it would look best with no elastic on the sides and only a zipper on the inner part of the boot and a semi-rugged almost flat sole. Not a dress boot with a smooth sole and a raised heel like on the Movie TK's But in some of the pics and action figure the front/top of the boot has lines or stitch marks running up towards the ankle. But I don't see that happening on time for Cel Europe. Kevin W.
  22. So I was google searching for some boots I trying to look for a boot with very little to almost no heal and found these... They would need to be painted white. I just think the Concept Boots look different then the Movie TK boots. Check out the video link where they talk about the boot. http://www.6pm.com/c...5?zfcTest=mat:1 This is the name of the boot "Camper K3 - 36525 Men's Pull-on Boots - Black" Camper K3 - 36525 $100.00 - $140.00 USD http://www.zappos.co...lsea-boot-black These are Dr. Just saw theses at Sears... http://www.sears.com.../p-06784985000P DieHard Men's SureTrack 6in Double Gore Slip On Work Boot $70.00 USD These look good too but I will not spend $650.00 for just a pair of boots. http://www.neimanmar.../prod154390358/
  23. They would be "Raised". Can you show a drawing of how you see the straps to help hold the parts in the upper torso section? I have an idea but would really like to know what you had in mind. Thanks guys!!! Kevin W.
