1. Will do some pics in a few days or so... But I am wanting the staff to let me know if i am on the right track and I will take some action poses. thanks for the look bro.
2. Amen on the hot melted plastic bro.
3. O.K. guys, here is the cleaner version of my HW trooper. I would like to know if there are any other mods I need to make. Comments are welcome. Full Body Drop down pouch on thigh Upper body with pouch and pauldron. Showing the TK front. Back side, showing Thermo Detonator, weapons and holster and back pack Shoulder straps, showing the armor is basic TK and not Sandtrooper. Top Back, showing pauldron, shoulder straps and back pack strapping and frame. Side picture, showing drop-down pouches on utility belt, mortar tube, frame and strap Front groin area, showing drop down boxes and TK front plate The Three Amigos (Clone Mechanic, H/W Trooper and Sandtrooper) Well, let me know bothers. I am hoping to get this nailed down for when I am able to try for H/W ID Thanks TK/TD/TC/TA-8290
4. Yep, it is definately dirty, but that would be too nice... LOL It will be cleaned up by the time the pics with the pouches get posted. Give me about a day. I have the thermo detonator and the mortar tube on the backpck just like the pics from EW HWT posted on the other thread.
5. Thanks for the kudos on my clone. I have my sandtrooper just behind the H/W trooper. Any comments and modification ideas are welcome brothers. Thanks.
6. RGR that brother Smitty. I am going to clean the armor ;-) the dirt is only water base paint, so it will make it easy to leave only a slight bit of filth ;-) Smitty, the mic system is rockin... just wanted to add that. If there are any other details, let me know. One thing that I know must be changed for EIB status for this armor is the belt; and I have it....oh yeah! If you guys can look at the shoulder straps and the thermo detonator position for accuracy, I will be greatful. Also, do I put side pouches on the armor? Thanks.
7. I saw that. The place looks like a little space ship. I think it would be great for a S/W Legion hang-out. Anyone independently wealthy?
8. Hello everyone. Thanks for looking and offiring advice and comments on my H/W trooper. If there is anything you see that could be improved, added or taken away, let me know so I can modify the armor. Here are teh pics, thanks.
9. That is an interesting number. I would imagine it is because the sandy has more moving parts such as the backpack and pouches to contend with. The backpack is no joke and the pouches are sometimes hard to find. However, I like the TD more than the TK. I know that is not going to make me popular here, but the storm trooper is the difinitive icon, while the sandtrooper is a nice deviation into the dirty and gritty side of trooping. I realy love them both.... argh!
10. I completely agree. Is there a place to get thighs like that?
11. Hey bro, Here are the pics of my thighs cut in the back to allow my legs to bend more freely. I can actually sit down comfortably in my armor because of the way I have it cut at the seams and the back of the legs. If you need anything over there to help you with this build, let me know and I will send it to you. Full shot of my armor so you can see how it fits. The cod piece is cut just below the belt so it can flap up. The connection between the butt plate and the cod piece is elastic, which is permenantly affixed to the rear piece and has a snap for the front. Works great if you have to take a leak during trooping...lol Hey here is a link to my last troop. I am the Sand trooper. Enjoy, bro. http://marriedtotheempire.blogspot.com/200...ife-center.html Brother-in-Arms TK/TD-8290
12. Still waiting for the info. Sonds like it is valuable stuff to know, so just wondering if you have found it yet?
13. I was thinking the same thing about the Themo Detonator and the pack. This might require the pack to be higheron the back or smaller in size to accomodate a comfortable positiopn on the back. As of now, I have a compete HWT, minus the weapon I want, which is the big bazooka looking thing. I have a DLT-19, so I guess I am complete... Can we submit pictures for ID yet?
14. As most of the guys have already hit on, I would cut butt piece along the seam which connects it to the back to make it flexible. I use Velcro on the inside to hold two strips of strong elastic which connects them. Then I cut-out a "U" shape off of the back of the thighs so you can bend your legs. I will post some pics later. There are also references here in the FISD that one of the members posted, but I just can't remember where it is. It is screen shots of the storm troopers entering the princess’s ship in EP IV.
15. This is awsome stuff!!!! A little off toppic with theighs and teeth, but If you go back and look at the garbage shute scene you will see two frames where Luke is missing his shoulder bell. Nice finds guys; I'm lovin' it
16. Hey there Soldier! I too am in the Army and stationed at Ft. Hood TX. I was in Afghanistan from 2001-2002 and know what an incredible effort you are undertaking, and what an awesome addition you are to the FISD. For you to do what you have done thus far with your armor in a place that looks like the surface of the moon is a testimony to what a true S/W fan is. I would just like to say that your efforts are very impressive “most impressive”…
17. I went to see the movie a couple of days ago, and I must say it was very well done. However, if I were to try to understand the comparison of the two, I would simply look at the popularity and avalability of prop recreations. I would also see the value in evaluating and comparing forums for a strictly statistical and social purpose. That said, I would not begine to understand how the two can be compared based on the genre and subject content.
18. I can't post pics on my album. i want to post the pics from the ALL-Con, but it won't let me. Gives error message.
19. I would like to say that I am impressed with yout Space Trooper. Have more pics? I would love to see them Thanks, bro.
20. I already haveon my TX. I noticed that support on the bicep about 8 months ago and incorporated it into my TX. It works like a charm
21. I dunno... that needs to be some darn shimmering armor for it to reflect like that. I am in the "it's glue" camp.
22. Congrats Bill. The position is an awesome responsibility and an excellent example of how promotions of good people within the FISD keep making this site better and better.
23. Welcome back. I have been a little slower than before because of projects... Wheew! Good luck with the armor hunt, and don't forget TupperwareTK. His stuff is the shiznitz.
