  2. Last conversation I had with him was on May 21 by e-mail. He's extremely busy. =)
  3. Getting back into this thread, as I now have internet access for a little bit! Plans have changed, and I will be returning to Texas in October (sadly, before I'll get a chance to enjoy Oktoberfest), but the TK build won't be put off. Already started placing orders for the major items: Armor/Helmet Neckseal Boots Holster Belt E-11 What else is needed? I
  4. Schweinfurt.. it's in the middle of the country with nothing nifty nearby. =) Okay.. so looks like I'll need to find a dark green bubble maker, and try to get the hyperfirm shipped over. Have any of ya'll had much difficulty converting the AP helmet to hero?
  5. Hey troopers! Well, after transferring from Fort Hood to Germany, then deploying from Germany to Afghanistan, I finally have a chance to settle down and be reminded of what's most important in life -- Star Wars! After turning down my Darth Maul project (no problem with shaving the head, but it appears my skin has a volatile reaction to the paint used!), I had to make the ultimate decision: Jango or Stormtrooper. And of course, I chose both! But starting with the trooper, as I already have a tiny bit of experience in that category. =) So, working on putting together a set of armor and going for the ANH Hero. I'd like to run through what I have and am looking at so that you guys can help me get this right the first time... I would like to achieve Centurion without buying the same things 20 times, as I have a habit of doing! Armor: AP Helmet: AP Boots: TKboots Gloves/Hand Guards: Sonnenschein Canvas Belt: Tkittell Bodysuit: Either the ExtremeRacing Stormtrooper, or a 2-piece UA set So, after a few hours scrolling through, need to get down a few other things (obviously): Green Lenses: Still required for that more authentic touch? Had a set through Runnriottt. Will be looking for another. Neckseal: I think I read that the stunt and hero versions are different. Last one I had was from Riveting. Need to find another to meet the Hero standards. Holster: AP sells one, but I couldn't tell whether it met standards or not. Any ideas here? Electronics: Plan on the ICOMM/Aker kit, and fans of course. Spoke with peoples about ICOMM/Aker. How's the fan setups going nowadays? Blaster: I had a Hyperfirm E-11, which I was immensely pleased with. However, I'm running into an issue with shipping it to Germany (Speaking of which, I'll be trying to enter into the German Garrison since I'll be stationed there for the next 2-5 years! Hello, boys!). Also, I'm not sure how that holds up to the Centurion standards. I will attempt to get it there to troop with, but do I need a more realistic version to apply with? Look forward to chatting with, and working with, you guys again! Thanks and God Bless, Jeremy
  6. I'd apply for one if I was a TK already. =P
  7. Thanks everyone for the overwhelming support! Since you asked... On the 'stang front, I've revamped the exhaust system so far. Ford Racing Shorty Ceramic Headers, Magnaflow High-Flow Catted X-Pipe, and Borla Stingers axle-back system. I ordered a Steeda Cold Air Intake and tuner package from Brenspeed.com, and should have it by Wednesday! Next will be underdrive pulleys, I think. Then camshafts. Anyhow, below is a picture, and under that is a link to my exhaust video. It sounds awesome with a 5.1 hooked up, BTW. =P Just don't turn up your sub too loud! And back on track... it came with three blades! I'm about to head out in a few hours to buy some masking tape to help keep my lines straight. =) Anything else I need to get?
  8. Hey troopers! Well, I came back from Iraq in January, and ended up having to go back for a month! Ugh! Anyhow, I'm back for good, and I've dug out the AP set, along with all of the great things sent to me to start up my build! Thanks to all of you that have committed such time to making these great quality items! I also purchased a 2008 Mustang GT (I'm a HUGE American muscle car enthusiast, so this is a dream come true for me), that I'm retrofitting to the Shelby GT500KR, so my time has been divided lately between that project, and starting this one. Luckily, that takes HUGE amounts of money, so it's more of a paycheck to paycheck type of hobby, while this one can be used during my poor times now that I have almost everything! =) So, last night, I went out and purchased a good exact-o knife, and started laying everything out. I've got my camera on the charger, so after I get back from the garage tomorrow, I'll be set to work on nothing but this baby for the next 2 weeks or so. =) Pictures to come tomorrow! Cheers, guys! Jeremy
  9. I'm trying to go through all of the posts and instructions and whatnot, but it would be MUCH simplified for me if someone could post exactly what tools/materials I will need before I start? i'm doing an ANH AP set. Thanks!
  10. Hey everyone, Well, after spending 2 weeks in Kuwait, I'm finally home from deployment. I also had the good fortune of arriving a few days after my package did! Now, I meant to photo-document everything, but I didn't have my camera with me. But, I could not contain myself, and had to open the box! However, I got a little carried away in opening it, as I accidentely cut a little bit into one of the shin pieces (I think)! It's very tiny, and not even noticeable unless you're glaring at it. What do I need to do to get rid of this?! So, today I'll probably head to the store and start buying my assembly goodies. Pics will ensue later today or tomorrow! Jeremy
  11. What a great looking rig! I can't WAIT to see the blaster! And congrats on 1000!
  12. I'm sorry, but I had to! Please excuse the poor skills. =)
  13. Good luck with the new job, Mike! Just remember to put some of that moola away for another set of armor!
  14. I was checking out the Dave's garage videos. Is that pretty much how it should be done? I was noticing he had velcro on the forearm pieces and whatnot. But some people just glue the whole thing.
  15. Hey Troopers, In an attempt to ensure that I get everything right the FIRST time (big laugh, huh? ), I'm trying to get a feel for the strapping system. I've seen everything in tutorials and videos from rivets to velcro to glue to abs/leather straps. Which is the best method to use, do you think?
  16. You SHOULD be able to right click on the bar (where nothing else is, just the bar), and select "Lock the Toolbar" so that it is unlocked (no check beside it). Then, just click and hold on the bar, and drag it wherever you want on the screen.
  17. Seriously now, Troopers. Of all the expensive addictions there are to get hooked on out there, FISD is the only one that you can set as your homepage. "The more you know." Actually, this post came about after I just got finished watching "Zach and Miri Make a Porno". For those who haven't seen it yet, check it out! It definitely puts Artoo and Threepio in a new light! But then again, with Kevin Smith helping to make the thing, I knew Star Wars would have a place. =)
  18. LMAO! I just had a mental image of a trooper going "Look, sir! *hic* Droi...." *falls over on the ground*
  19. hah! How about an Iron-Man miniaturized arc reactor so you can power your helmet fans? =P
  20. Dare I ask... Spartan White Shell? Is that HALO or another form of TK?
  21. Hrm.. does anyone here have a Skullworx kit in an AP bucket? I would love pictures!

    Feeling ill

Nothing a little ibuprofin and water can't cure! J/K! Take it easy. Just don't throw up in your helmet!
  23. The FISD is helping me not only relive my childhood, but getting me wrapped into the Empire and Star Wars all over again. As a TK, it will be my pleasure to give to the younger community the Star Wars sensation I had as a kid. But without the FISD, I won't ever get there! PP Sent! FISD: Troopers Helping Troopers!
