  1. This is a good read about this topic: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19286-the-original/page__hl__%20ainsworth And please, everybody, we don't need another thead like that. Move along, move along.
  2. Oh, I didn't know that. More reason to finish the trooper!
  3. No. Big miss. AA was NOT the designer. It was Brian Muir. Look around, there are many threads about AA. RUN AWAY as FAST as you can! His armor is a recast ROTJ (3rd generation) modified to look ANH. Almost every words he says is a lie. It ypou want screen accuracy, get RS or TM.
  4. But we could ask our Swede what the best browser for viewing of FISD might be
  5. Chrome Not perfect, but it's fast and does the job.
  6. And I was wondering who that last person on earth was who still uses IE.... I guess we found him !
  7. Once we have a squad of concept troopers, we'll need a concept Vader, too- who's gonna be the first?
  8. sounds resonable. But why the extra set of hand guards? I'd also a blister patch and some pain killers. Or leave everything at home and do what they did on the movie set back in '77: white duct of gaffer tape Duct tape is like the Force: It has a dark side, a light side and it holds the universe together!
  9. Thanks! Oh my... you're right! The horror, the horror! This reminds me to empty my inbox ... again
  10. Please, someone help me to get this picture out of my mind! Edit: Great! This was my 3000th post! This makes me look like I'm writing BS all the time! For over 4 years ....hmmmmmmmm
  11. Getting better! This would be perfect for troopers with large feet (My other half would need EU size 48)
  12. Speechless! I didn't know you had such talent, Steve! Now imagine an entire squad of RM troopers at the premiere of Ep VII, all yielding a Lazer Sword! BTW: You have a very soothing, radio voice! Fact: In the german version, it has always been called "Laser-Schwert" (i.e Laser-sword) instead of Licht-Säbel (Light sabre)
  13. I like the bulb part at the emitter! Just like in the drawings! But sound is a little weak. Can you use a better speaker?
  14. Maybe a little too wide. But CFO and other vetted seller are available here too and every "newbie" gets all the correct information. So CFO didn't lose any business if were warned anybody about the 'ebay as the were redirected
  15. Up to the top! How could I (and many others) miss this? Thanks for sharing one of the last puzzle pieces!
  16. I stand corrected! Thanks Rob! I must have missed this- my expertise is in hand guards and neck seals. But do you agree that Loakes are very close?
  17. Welcome! As I said, they're the best match, but not the originals. Be sure to refer to a conversion table (EU to UK) for the correct size !
  18. If you are thinking "Loakes" they're close, but no cigar. The exact brand wasn't reveiled--- yet
  19. Maybe. you can lose the shine with zippo lighter fluid or some high grid sand paper
  20. I don't think this is comfortable. And trimming down flexible hand guards (rubber or latex) is not really that easy.
  21. BTW: I think flexible hand guards would be too big for you.
  22. An idea: cast you hands in alginate, make plaster copies of your hands and apply several layers of black latex. Stamp the texture in before it fully dries
  23. Oh! Shiny! Years ago I found small black gloves at a local home improvment store, but they were very thin and wouldn't last long Did you consider dying yellow gloves?
  24. Well, it does "get your foot in the door". But you won't be happy with FX armor in the long way and you'd want to replace it some day, and you have to mod the currentarmor to your sizes And a hasbro blaster even with doopydoo's looks cheasy, so why not builder a more decent one? And believe me, your feet will hurt on long troops with the wrong size of boots, even if they're larger. Why not start from scratch with a new kit? It may be a little more expensive, but you'll be happy for a long time
