Welcome, Jason! If you hadn't already seen it, our armor vetted vendor list below lists several other makers as well. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them-updated-2023/

Welcome, Seth! Glad to have you here at the home of shiny white plastic!

Merch has entered the chat.

Well done, sir! If you did that in only four weeks that is truly amazing! I see no reason why you can't get to Centurion with just some minor tweaks. Really digging your perfect alignment of the ear screws on the right side of your helmet with the rear edge of the trap on that side! I'll let the DO provide the official feedback, but they'll likely mention missing thin elastic straps on the rear shoulder bridges, removing the last large tab on the rear of the bridges, adding the Han snap to your ab piece, raising your belt so the plastic is barely touching the bottom painted ab button, pushing your drop boxes out just a tiny bit to the ends of the plastic belt, and addressing the rear thigh butt-joint seams. Don't worry, the DOs or others can will provide some reference photos. But man, really good job, and you'll have your EI and Centurion certificates (and that shiny new gold EI coin!) in no time!

Unfortunately I can't help you with the electronics identification, but if you ever feel the need to resell the blaster I'll take it off your hands.

I was approved. Now what?

Welcome aboard, trooper! For trooping opportunities that will be organized via your local Garrison. When you sign up on the Florida Garrison's forums you can subscribe to to receive emails for all their new troops. I currently receive them myself, even though I'm in the GA Garrison. There's also the Florida fb group, that perhaps you've already found. We hope to see you apply for Expert Infantry in the future! -
Awesome to see another HWT in the works! My own HWT has been derailed over three years, but I have everything in-hand to finish it. I just want to take take my ESB and Hero conversions to L3 first. I may or may not have Joseph’s HWT pack in my possession, in addition to the one I was building myself. =) Good luck on your conversion! I went all out on product sourcing for my pack, so if you want to purchase links, check out my HWT build thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello there, and welcome, Gary! Always a pleasure to see another TK in the works! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out, or post here on the forum. Below is a link to some resources I compiled that you might find helpful on your impending project! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/

Welcome John! It seems your 8-year-old self has found our club of other 8-year-olds! Awesome to hear you have a Stunt build in the works! Did you go with RS, RWA, or some other armor maker? As Jonatan mentioned, you should definitely also keep a WIP thread here as our entire focus is stormtroopers, and you'll receive great feedback from our ranks. Between that, and your help from Chris and the rest of the UKG, I'm sure you'll build a suit fit for Imperial duty! Looking forward to following along with you!

Hello there, Maria! I second what Jonatan has said on all fronts: let’s get you (and your son) into some TK armor! Definitely DEFINITELY check out our vetted vendor list that was already posted; in particular if you’ve been eyeing armor on Etsy. Do you already know what particular era or movie stormtrooper armor you want to replicate? Many of us start with an ANH-Stunt style, which is what we all first saw in the opening minutes of A New Hope. “Stunt” refers to the generic stormtrooper character, versus the “Hero” style armor that Han and Luke wore on the Death Star. I look forward to following along on your TK journey! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There are two camps on undersuit discussion. Some swear by a one-piece with both too and bottom, and if you go that route, try to find one with a dual zipper to make bathroom breaks more manageable. Others buy separate compression shirts and pants, which can provide a little added flexibility in sizing and dressing. I actually have both types, but have used the two piece setup more often. Regardless of which style you go with, be sure you get all black designs and that there are no visible logos that will show when donning armor. All of us purchase an armor kit from one of the armor producers on our vetted armor or list (linked below), and then trim, glue, and fit it to our bodies. That is, except people who 3D print armor. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them-updated-2023/ Be sure to also check out that resource thread that Glen previously linked to, and keep asking questions! Tony's (Ukswrath) Anovos build thread is definitely legendary. HERE is a link to a PDF of it as well, to save on printed paper and instead view on a tablet or other mobile device. And speaking of Tony, he also sells fan products, amongst other things, on his website. I use his fan bracket system, but I've also heard good things about Henry's. Keep up the good work, Jeffrey!

Welcome, Luke! It’s great to have you and see another TK in the making! Do you already know what type/era stormtrooper you’d like to build? Many of us start with an ANH-Stunt, as that was the very first TK we saw on screen. Regardless of what direction you go, post up all your questions, with lots of photos, and we’ll be here to help you along on your journey! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
TK-70384 Reporting for duty

Congrats Chris, and welcome to the ranks! Being behind the helmet is so cool, isn't it?! And by the way, do you have plans to submit your armor for Expert Infantry? -
Hello there, from Arch City Squad in Ohio!!
MaskedVengeance replied to DarthBeale's topic in New Member Introductions
Troopers often make garters for themselves, but I'm sure some might also purchase prefabbed ones. I bought mine off another member. You would just need to market your product in the ongoing runs section of this forum. -

Hi Vic! Great throwback photos! I'll second Adam's suggest of an ANH-S. Additionally, here's a link to a thread listing reputable armor makers that may be of interest to you as you begin your journey to join the 501st. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them-updated-2023/ -
Welcome Laura @Salazar! Justin has provided you with excellent information above, and I've now also just sent you a personal message. I hope your local garrison is able to help you out!

Stormtrooper "grilled by police"! (Scotland)
MaskedVengeance replied to JoeCovenant's topic in Off Topic
That being said, I do love me some skeet shooting. Hmmm... I wonder if it's ever been done in TK armor... But back on topic, this is why I'll never wear my armor out in public without an official invite. You never know what a stranger may call the authorities for, even without a blaster. -
Will these front cover strips pass
MaskedVengeance replied to Firemantrooper's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Exactly what Glen said. My cover strips are angled to follow the contour of the two halves of the leg pieces, much like yours (as well as the screen references for that matter). Thighs by difference armor makers come together differently, and thus there is variance in the angle of the cover strip ends. Also like Glen said, you may consider sanding the corners a bit to avoid poking or snags. -
List of Soft Parts for Your OT TK build
MaskedVengeance replied to justjoseph63's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Yes sir! I found it best, when first getting started, to follow in the footsteps of those before me. Joseph's soft parts list in this thread is a great place to start. My white canvas belt came from Kittell (Imperial Issue), holster from Darman and boots from Imperial Boots (now known as Keep Trooping after their name change). -
And hello again, Jeffrey for the third time in as many posts. In addition to the ANH build threads link I've already commented, below you'll find a link to a massive resource thread that I compiled on my own journey of building my first stormtrooper armor. I saw that you're most interested in an ANH Stunt, which is the bread and butter of our Detachment, and by far my favorite armor. I look forward to following along on your build and welcoming you into this band of brothers (and sisters)!
