  1. So, new scope rail and more green stuff ordered (thanks Tino) made a little bit of progress tonight. Bit of detail added to the fake bolt and made a start on the power cylinders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Fantastic...after all that faffing over the scope rail I managed to snap it trying to bend the end over! Grrr! I even cut part way through it and heated it to try get it to bend smoothly [emoji20] looks like I’ll have to order the ready made one from Tino now. Also made a start on the counter. 4. Oh and while I remember...if I don’t reply to anyone using their name, it’s only because I’m on Tapatalk on my phone and all I see are yr usernames [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Perfect! Thanks Dan! Now get off yr phone and enjoy yr holiday [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Unfortunately it’s too late for that Chris, already chopped it down, but thanks for the shout [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Nice one! I think the reason I’m getting confused is because I’ve seen somewhere that the rail is 10mm above the receiver? But the rear sight where the rail fits doesn’t sit 10mm high and as such the rail won’t be level? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I’m also confused about how it fits to the rear sight. I’ve cut the rear end to sit in the sight, thinking that it sat on the raised bit? But, when I look at the reference pics it shows the raised bit of the sight two different ways round? I’ll put up some pics and hope u can understand what I mean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Morning all! Struggling with the scope rail today [emoji20] I’ve cut the rear part out but can’t work out how far from the other end I need to mark the bend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. [emoji23] go for it mate...have a beer..or two! I was gonna have a night off tonight but ended up doing the end cap clip and adding the strip to the bolt [emoji849][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Seconded...The electrical switch for the selector seemed a little too daunting for me! Mine still moves, but doesn’t click....nicely done!. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Wow! A lot of effort going into this Jesse! Very impressive work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Forgot I’d fitted a sight pin too! Had to make my own as I haven’t got a clue what I’ve done with the one that came in Tino’s kit! Think I need to push the grub screw in a little further...[emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Good luck with the build Michael. Looking forward to seeing yr progress pictures! I was a bit worried about doing mine but with the Blaster Reference that Dan shared and all the other threads on here there’s plenty of visual references. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions, the wealth of knowledge and experience on here is phenomenal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Haha! Exactly the problem I had! When I finally got to fitting them the first time I’d got the polarity wrong. Then I had to try pull them back out of the green stuff, clean them off and try again [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks Jesse! I used two in the mag and two in the housing. Had to get my head round installing them the right way round because of polarity. Would be just my luck to get them stuck in only to find they repelled rather than attracted! [emoji23] I made the trigger guard out of a thin piece of aluminium I managed to scrounge from the mechanic at work..I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Ok, so I got a little frustrated with the very slow progress and I claimed from the start that I wasn’t going to try break any boundaries with my build. With this in mind I decided to start putting the pieces together and worry about painting later. Tonight’s progress as follows [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Last bit for tonight...grub screw into magazine housing, led into magazine and magnets fitted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Bit more done today...green stuff on sight guard and knurled, also added some to the sight block so I can shape it better when it’s set. On to sorting out the end cap and D ring now [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Need to get some more for when I do the scope...only got 16 and 22mm in my drill set [emoji20]. Well..,,that wasn’t easy! Took some hollowing! Trimmed the false bolts from the end of the stock, drilled for the replacements, hollowed the body out, drilled through the butt part and put a groove around it to give the impression it’s a separate part. Just need to make a hinge for the back end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
