  1. Cheers guys, I’ll have a bash at that in a bit. Trying to hollow out the stock now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Bit more work on the receiver today....drilled a few holes at the ends of the tracks to try give the impression that they go into the barrel and trimmed the ejection port to try give the impression that its separate parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Thanks Jesse...very kind of u. I’m thinking I might have to make a new sight block from scratch. The resin one looks too small for me to get a symmetrical finish to it? What do u guys think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Not sure why the same comment posted again?! I’ll take some more shots tomorrow [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yeh...they aren’t too bad tbh...do u think I can get away with them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. And that’s it for today unfortunately...hopefully continue tomorrow [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Not quite as neat but definitely better. Gonna try hollow the ends out a litt too like u did to make it look like the tracks are actually going into the holes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Haha...I promise I haven’t Dan, thanks for the encouragement! I’m currently trying to tackle yr idea of trimming around the t tracks to make them appear like separate components. My cordless drill just died too, waiting for it to charge now [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. That’s good enough for me! [emoji23] thanks Jesse! Started work on the barrel next. Holes drilled where the sock goes, next job the hex bolts fitted (hopefully) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Bit more progress this morning... Moving selector switch fitted and trigger guard test fit. I decided not to go with the electrical switch in Tino’s kit (sorry Tino [emoji20]) but I felt digging the handle out enough to fit it and then rebuilding in green stuff was a little beyond my already limited skills![emoji23] Do I leave the nobbly bit in the grip next to the selector as it is or is it replaced by something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Jesse! Hopefully get quite a bit more done at the weekend...actually enjoying myself now I’ve got started [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Chris...what do u think about the thickness of the trigger guard? Get away with it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I did do a short video of the trigger working but can’t work out how to get it to upload [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ok...finally I managed to make a start! Lock screw and bolt fitted to the grip, trigger and spring fitted and shaped a strip of aluminium for the trigger guard. It’s thinner than the scope rail so not sure it’s quite acceptable? What do u guys think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Cheers Chris...appreciate that...way more hassle than it’s worth for the fairly basic build I’m planning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks Jesse...very informative thanks! I had a feeling that would be the case if I hollowed out and just used the 20mm tube as the bolt. I can’t wait to get started, but as I was saying to Dan it’s getting very frustrating not getting anything done because I’m finishing work so late atm. There’s always the weekend [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks Dan...doesn’t the Doopys have a pvc pipe running through it under the resin? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Another silly late finish last night so no progress yet [emoji35] I have been doing a lot of thinking about the build though and was wondering if it’s possible to have a fully working bolt with a Doopys kit? I mean actually hollowing the port out so the bolt can be seen moving back and exposing the inside of the receiver or is this not possible due to the thickness of the tubes wall? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I don’t believe u [emoji23] I’m sure you’ll keep ‘sticking’ them in [emoji23]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. Cheers Chris...yrs look awesome! I decided to scrap the pipe build in the end and just go with the Doopys for my first attempt. I’m sure even that will be challenging enough for me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
