  1. Congrats Chris, thanks for including me on your journey, and I look forward to trooping with you!
  2. Nice! Welcome to the ranks trooper!
  3. Wow, great work. Having seen what you did with your resin one though, I’m not surprised.
  4. I bought my Lepage version at Canadian Tire; they also have the pan-head screws and E6000 (made in USA).
  5. Glad to help Chris! Standing by if you need anything.
  6. You can see now why a lot of people use the “offset method” for making their sniper knee line up on both sides (one of the few things I documented reasonably well in my build thread, I might add ಠ_ಠ )
  7. I went straight across, like @HSM76.
  8. Thanks! Saw one car off the road on my way to the train station to his morning. Drive carefully if you have to go into work. For the dangling boxes, I think there is flexibility as that connection isn’t seen. Have to go back and look at the CRL...
  9. Two split rivets are used to attach the right thigh ammo pack.
  10. I had just pointed out that my rivets are starting to work their way through the nylon. I used the strip of ABS, but not any extra E6000. I’m going to want to take that section apart one day and give it a re-do. I also recommended reinforcing the torso around the split rivet holes to guard against small stress cracks (which I also have).
  11. An excellent example to follow. Either way, there’s some trimming to line up both ends.
  12. That’s one way to do it. Just be sure to trim the return edge off of the wrist completely, as that will get the most scrutiny.
  13. No, Chicago screws are threaded. If your suit came with the holster (?) it should have at least one set already. Double caps rivets seem more like snaps, although different. I didn’t use the double caps in any part of my own build.
  14. Robert Rabey 69103 EIB Letter Dan Thank you! http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/69103-eib.png
  15. Thanks Dan!! I’ll make all the suggested changes before applying to L3. Rob

  17. As to how fitted, I’m not sure how IB does theirs; Darman’s Props tell the buyers that they want the exact measurement of the neck, and not to add anything, and they will ensure the fitting has a little extra.
  18. I think the “S” and “U” are referring to the helmet opening seal, which is different from the neck seal. You’ll want the “S” for L3/Centurion. Imperial Boots stuff should be good for L3. My neck seal was from Darman Props, and my helmet “S” seal was from Trooper Bay.
  19. Thanks, it was definitely worth the wait!
