    I would only buy used if it’s through here or the 501st forums. Unless you live near that guy and can go see it in person and at that point you’d have to know what to look for.

  7. coupling issues with my Aker and wireless mic

    I found a solution to coupling which cost none to nothing.
     
    Cut a  square piece a Eva rubber and place it inside the helmet where your mic sits ( this will muffle 99% the sound coming out the helmet ) mine is 2 by 2 inches. For extra sealment i cover the mic foam  leaving the mic area free.
     
    I have tested this and it works

  10. Linz AM ANH build thread WIP

    Little late to this not sure how I missed the thread but welcome. Brought myself up to speed cause I love my AM armor. Was a bit confused going through cause first I saw the pic with the helmet thinking that helmet is huge, then I thought it was Bane making a TK, then it became a bloody horror film. This thread is entertaining I’m gonna stick to it. Other then that things are looking good with tons of great advice.

    I am 5' 10", as stated before, and weigh 240 pounds.



    Your fine with AM. I’m 5’10” and started my build at about 245-250 finished and went up to a tad over 260 and still wore it (some extra pinching though) If you shoot for EIB/centurion you’ll probably have to shim the sides but basic would be no problem at all. I don’t know the weight restrictions to what it can be made to fit but I know I took a decent amount off to fit my body and would imagine I could have been closer to 300 and still made it fit. Now obviously body shape plays into that, if you reach that size.

    Do they make a complete build?  I am looking to get everything from one place if possible.



    AM is good stuff. Your tall so they would know best how well it’ll fit but I think you’ll be fine. Again you’d get the kit and have to build it yourself. You’d also be responsible for belt and soft goods.
