Decided to go the hard route, CA re-glued to the trimmed flashing, filled with abs paste, sanded with 220 dry, 400/800 wet, and drill press buff wheel. Results are promising but not perfect. Cut line is still visible on 2 sides, and some pinholes form incomplete fill by the abs paste. Pic to follow.
I'll do another thinner coat of abs to cover the hairline and hopefully fill the pinholes, and another round of sand and polish.
Also looking to pick up a spare plate from someone going Sandie, thanks for the explanation btw, makes sense for multiple kit options. Unfortunately can't post in the for sale section yet, guess I need to engage in more threads first.
