Looking SHARP, Brian! Looking at those side connections it seems that the Anovos armor was custom fit for you, and GREAT job on that sniper knee connection! I can see you put a lot of work into that blaster... did you use one of Tino's finishing kits?
Thanks Joseph. I guess I'm in the group of people with just the right size and shape to make fitting the armour just that bit easier. Sniper knee took a lot of looking at other people's photos then just getting lucky with the position first time.
Blaster was a labour of love as it was my first build. I didn't do a build thread for it on here as I did not know how it was going to turn out. Had to put the blaster in for approval on the UK Garrison site but it is a cut down explanation of the build. Going to copy it over to the Weapons Locker later today just so I can detail the extra parts etc. that I used, and yes one of Tino's completion kits was in there (V2 i think, he has more parts in the latest kit that I'm interested in for my upcoming pipe build)

Brian you have done a great job here with your build! Job well done! Good luck with your approval!
Thanks Steve. EIB 724 serving with unquestioned loyalty. Onward to centurion. Application in now

Great work and loved the build thread, Congrats on getting approved.
Thanks Robert. The hard work paid off. Got my EIB #724 and got Centurion application in. Fingers crossed for that
Congrats TK18910 !
Thanks Brad. Only took 40 years to become a Stormtrooper

Congratulations!
Thanks Chris. Your build on the UKG was one of the first ones I read after getting onto the forums. I followed your progress keenly as I was going down the same route all be it a lot slower. Still not good with forum life but getting there

Hi mate I can do you some parts from my casts
Sorry to hijack your thread Andreas, but do you do a comprehensive range of parts Mark? Some are harder to come by than others and it would be great to have someone in the UK doing parts
-
Awesome work, Brian! March on to Centurion
Thanks Mark. Got my trooping boots on
Application will be in today. Eyes firmly fixed on the finishing line

Hey Brian welcome to your EI review and thank you for your application.
CRL and EIB Application Requirements:
All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper, congratulations!
Other-Armor Fit/Assembly:
In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections.
Wow, this is a tight build, excellent work Brian, love the attention to detail from top to bottom.
If you can rotate the shoulder bells forward just a touch to narrow the gaps between the chest plate this armour will be balanced to the max.
Centurion Suggestions:
In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here.
We mast say thank you for a beautiful set of photos. The sharpness makes our jobs easy as we can see every fine detail. Also thank you for the additional images.
GET THAT CENTURION APP IN!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations
Thanks Andrew
I'll get suited up today and make the alterations to the position of the shoulder bells and get a couple of new photos taken. You can expect to find my Centurion application lying on your desk in the morning
This build turned out so well because of all the fantastic builds that have gone before. Tony's build was invaluable, I've got it printed out in a folder so it could be turned to at any time. The man deserves a medal
Cheers
Brian

Thanks Brian. I always worry a bit about making something that is going to be sold to others. Don't want to disappoint. Still having some air pockets present after casting on the inside of two or three parts. Sometimes they are near perfect but its hit and miss. If I sell only according to the near perfect parts I make, I will go broke eventually and would take significantly more time to cast more. Since the pockets are on the inner surfaces I hope everyone is okay with receiving some parts like that. All exterior surfaces are pretty crisp and clean. Any major defects on the exterior surfaces are set aside. I will post up some pics to show some examples. Got your form results super quick yesterday. Thanks for filling it out.
Considering that most of us were using a doopydoo type of resin scope and trying to drill through for a bit of realism, your C or D grade scopes are still a million miles better for those wanting to go that bit further with our blasters. This should be obvious by the interest and following that your scopes have.
Personally I have no problem with a bit of filling and sanding if needed. Let's face it a genuine scope (gold standard for making a blaster) is a bit rough around the edges after all these years

Eventually went for the 113L fatmax which arrived yesterday and looking good for size. Still gotta take out parcel shelf and put back seats down to get in the car though. Got a helmet bag too so sorted for transporting armour now. Well sorta. Need to pimp out the interior to stop any damage from rattling about and see about customising the outside like chopper has

I'm in there Brian. I'm sure everyone will be happy no matter how you decide to supply your kits. You need to find the way that suits your life best and your trooper brothers will support you whatever you decide

Wow, even the pix are gorgeous. Mine look crappy by comparison. Great job
Oh My ! The boss just gave me a compliment. I feel all light headed.
Thank you Sir
Just trying to do my best for the Legion

Thanks for the kind comments Joseph. It's taken me over a year to get to this point but no way was I just aiming for basic approval.Phenomenal job, Brian. A textbook build and easy pass for EIB!
The way was made easier by following in the footsteps of the many talented troopers who have gone before. Tony's build was invaluable for me through all of this as my first go-to.

Cool
There's an event on 4th June in Alloa (SPRA day) - That was my induction troop previously - Maybe you could ask if this could be opened-up to new recruits?
Just my luck again ☹️ I'm away on holiday on 4th June. If I was at home I would be nightshift anyway. Can't catch a break. Looking like it'll be august for me

Really solid build! This is a great looking kit! All the best on your EIB and I'm sure we'll see you in the Centurion ranks very soon!
Thanks for the support Michael.
Centurion is the next step for sure. Got to be the best for Lord Vader

Welcome to the Legion Bro!!! Congrats... I just want to ask you where did you get your deactivated sterling?
Hi Ted
http://www.jaybe-militaria.co.uk/is where I got my Sterling. I think I got his last one after trying another couple of UK websites. I found a couple while looking that were just stupid expensive which explains why they were still available.

Thanks for the kind comments Shane. Blaster took only slightly less time to put together than the armour
Well worth the effort to go all the way
