I've enjoyed all the ideas and suggestions and help from everyone who has stopped by. I'm excited to get out there and make some smiles happen, myself. I bet it's awesome. That's a really good story. Here's the sniper knee attached to the left shin! So glad that's all over now. lol The images below the knee plate are the inside of the shins. I'm adding small tabs for velcro latches at the tops and bottoms just for some extra stability to keep them lined up nice. Velcro latches Top: Bottom:

Ok, here's an update: I got the thighs completed, minus the ammo pack that will go on this weekend (When I can go to Tandy to get a setter for my double cap rivets). I think they look good. There's a little gap at the backs of the ridges, but I'm good with them. I've seen plenty pass with wider ones, and I MAY be removing the backs there for better movement anyway—plus I kind of like the way it looks. lol Here are the new shins (seams). The outside of the shins is showing the inside view of the backs. Aaaaand… I started this tonight. Apologies for the ugly thumb. I wore down a little epidermis while scraping off glue. lol

I looked online but didn't see anything on their site. I'll probably have to go in, but they close during the week before I can get there. Bummer. I guess that'll be the last thing I do then. I'll just get the rest done this week. Thanks!!

The ones I'm using are from a guy on FISD that sells these Centurion level rivet sets. These are double cap rivets and require a different setter than I have. If I can't find one then I may just use split rivers and replace later if I find the right setter. I'm still rolling around the foam idea. I feel like these move well enough to not use them, but I haven't decided for sure. Still may get some just incase though.

Thank you!! The hand guards were easier than expected. Just took patience and did little by little so I'd have no drips. The shins will be looking much better with way less gap too. I tried one out this morning before work and the tabs work great!

I don't have a blaster yet either. Lol I still need to make that happen for centurion.

Thanks! Yea, it's looking like it should be done at some point in the week. I need to find a double cap rivet setter online. I did a quick search last night, but didn't really find anything. I may need to take a trip to Tandy again. <br><br> Lol A little this, a little that... Some trooping, some wishing I had money to spend on a clone kit. Lol I'll definitely be touching mine up though. I still need to add fans, icomm, etc. also.

I went ahead and got new gloves and glue and got the hand guards on also! The gloves I got with the kit didn't have the texture on the top tips of the gloves.

Here is what is gluing to the shins right now after I removed the velcro. the plan is to add velcro in between these tabs which (should) hold the shin closer together. The idea is that the other side of the shin should slide in between the tab and cover strip to hold it tight.

P.S. I also roughed-up and broke-in the tops of the boots and the shins sit better on them now. They were just too new and stiff.

I got my shins done today (minus the sniper knee plate), but I removed the velcro and started over a little while ago once I decided to check out MoSc0ut's shins. I like the Russell2d2 idea, Jim! I felt like I had too much open space at the seam and decided to start over and see if that could help. If not, I'll go back to straight velcro. Here are the shins before I started over. Inside view Outside view I'm also gluing on the back cover strips to the thighs right now. I'll trim the tops and adjust the curvature to the backs tomorrow and send pics! I thought I would get the ammo pack on the right thigh tonight, but I found out that I need a double cap rivet setter now, and I don't have one. lol So, I have to find one and order it now. I did a quick try-on of the armor while I was testing the old velcro shins. Here are those pics. Keep in mind that the right arm is not snapped into place throughout these photos. That's why it's saggy and the proportions don't match the left arm. Also I am pulling my right shoulder up in these to try and get that shoulder bell to stay on and not fall more. lol That's why the chest plate looks crooked too. I set my phone to a 10 second timer and ran in place then held up my thighs from falling and tried to get my shins straight for the pics also... What I'm trying to say is… These aren't my submission pics by any means. lolol Just some quick photos to show you guys.

I've got some strips curing tonight! 25mm covers strips on the backs of shins, and 20mm inner strips going on the inside-backs of the thighs.

Ok, I'm back with some photos! I got the backs of my thighs and shins cut! Yay! So glad that's over! I'm about to start sanding them and getting some cover strips made and added.
