    Main sterling stock rail,,,, fresh off the laser cutter. I have done the first one in steel to test with

    Yes, ive done one i have,,, there so thin that when i crimp them it spits of creases funny ... I may need to get the same durometer plugs maybe that will help

    Im still studying ways to actually crimp the ends like the original , its not as easy as it sounds .. in fact every method ive researched does not get the same results.... I am still looking for whatever technique they used...

    Yeah ,, i see what your saying. ill post anther picture when i get both side painted and the logo on it... Ive got my cnc doing both sharp and the radius profile.. It will give it a sense of reality....LOL The paint adds to the radius too.... hard to control

    They used a really nice blk oxide im sure... most of my screws are the same.

    Ive had a few people ask about the paint on the ends .The paint I use on the metalmites is a custom mix latex ,,, i has a real rubber look to it ....

    Version3 Henry,,, keep in mind these are the 5mm like Andy does not the fatter ones like you have .( I should make the bigger ones too, they look great) This is just the first side, im going to change the radius on side two to be more like the randomness of the hand made originals we have..

    Good pictures Henry ,,,, ill try to make some like this ... Notice the hand crimped ends on the vintage . .No two the same . Ill do a new batch and make each end different.. That will give them a sense randomhandmadeness......LOL

    Yep i was afraid of that lol That screw is not made anymore from what i can tell.... Maybe i can make them... Ill get a guy i know that has a swiss screw machine and see what he thinks about reproducing them.. You could use them in your production scopes too...

    Started getting my casting in... these are raw.. They will get a few minutes in the tumbler to remove the casting bosses. Then im going to try plating them.
