  1. I would suggest giving them the most accurate measurements that you can. Mine fit like a glove in all places except the thighs, which makes me think that they just made a mistake with the construction there. After resizing the thighs, everything fits awesome and looks like it was tailored for my body. BTW I'm 5'10" and 175 lbs. Hope this helps!
  2. Thanks, Christina. Yes, I'm going to do a follow-up video with it on. It fit great except for one place: the thighs were much too wide. I had to make them about 2-3 inches narrower, but it was much less difficult than I had feared. Until I post the video with my armor on, here are some photos that show the fit: --------------
  3. Hi Ryan. I purchased the RS Complete Commission Stormtrooper. Here is my unboxing video that might help with some of your questions:
  4. When you place your order with RS, they send you a .pdf document with a body diagram and instructions of where to measure. All you need is a cloth/flexible tape, and you can do it yourself. The biggest thing is to not be wearing loose/baggy or thick clothing when you do your measurements. Even with all the "measure twice, write it down once" caution I employed, I still ended up needing to resize my thighs. They were way off! Like 2-3 inches.
  5. I went with a 12 W because of the longer battery life. I'm very happy with it. I hardly ever turn it up more than one third of the volume. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hi Zane! I ordered the "pre-made" full commission armor from www.RSPropMasters.com. I'm really happy with it. Here is an unboxing video that might give you the answers you're looking for:
  7. Hi Christina! Here's where I got mine: https://trooperbay.com/abs-plastic-extension-strips.html
  8. Congratulations, Davide! <br> Really impressed by how much stuff you made yourself.
  9. Great work, Hank!<br> Looking forward to seeing the final product.
  10. Hi Trevor. I'll let others more knowledgeable than me talk about which makers' armor is better for different body types, but I can share some info from my armor maker, RS Prop Masters (www.RSPropMasters.com): You can buy a kit with unfinished helmet from RS for Ā£749.99. They also offer a "armor only kit" for Ā£549.99. They sell an "accurate assembly bundle" which includes all the parts needed for assembly for Ā£99.99. One other thing, I noticed that they are offering free international shipping until Dec. 31, 2015. That's worth at least $100. It took exactly 8 weeks for me to receive a Full Commission done by them, so I would guess that it would only take 3-6 weeks for them to send you an unfinished kit. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you.
  11. Great looking armor. First of all, thanks for protecting that Potting Mix (2nd photo)! I know we're troopers helping troopers, but who's helping the potting mix? You're a true example of selfless leadership to your Garrison. I echo what the others noticed. Looks like you just have some minor strapping adjustments, and possible resizing of your thigh armor to look perfect. Great work! Good luck!
  12. Thanks John and Pete!<br> Yes, I definitely need to adjust the shoulder straps. That's what I'm tackling right after I finish my current usb rechargeable helmet fan experiment. I had to do quite a bit of resizing of this armor, especially the thighs, but I hope to have it ultimately fit like a glove. I'm also definitely going to put the mesh behind the teeth, I just keep forgetting to pick it up every time I'm at the hardware store. Duh. Also, thanks John for pointing out the thermal detonator. I hadn't even noticed that. I'll compare with the reference photos and adjust as necessary. Thanks again for your help!

  14. Michael, trooperbay.com has chin straps for $5.99 here: <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='https://trooperbay.com/elastic-helmet-straps-with-snaps.html'>https://trooperbay.com/elastic-helmet-straps-with-snaps.html</a>
  15. Shawn, as it's been explained to me... PVC is whiter and glossier, some say more durable, but will show whiter bend lines in places where you bend it too much or it gets stressed. ABS is a little creamier white and closer to the tone used on the movies. ABS will also yellow over time, but you can bring it back to its original color with some plastic polish (there are some threads on that in the FISD posts). I went with ABS because most of the posts I read seemed to indicate that the majority of the 501st troopers were ABS. I didn't want to stand out as too white in a group of stormtroopers. I wanted to match the others as closely as possible.
  16. Thanks Pete!<br> Definitely working toward centurion. Luckily with RS armor I only have to adjust sizing issues.
  17. I hope this post helps people, like me, who might be agonizing over what armor to purchase. Here is an unboxing video of the RS Prop Masters Full Commission Stormtrooper armor from Nov. 9, 2015. This will give you a customer's insight:
  18. I ordered from RS on September 9 and received my full commission stormtrooper on November 9. They were very prompt to respond to my emails (about 5 in all). Hope this helps. Here is my unboxing video if you're interested:
  19. Hi Shawn, I just received my RS Props full commission stormtrooper on Nov. 9, 2015. I was able to be 501st approved out of the box. I did, however, just adjust the size of my thigh armor a couple of days ago. I'm not sure my upcoming EIB and centurion applications would be approved with it as delivered. The thighs, especially the left one, were much too large for trooping. I had to cut off approximately two and a half inches off the top back of the thighs and about an inch and a half at the bottom. The right thigh was not so bad, but I still took off about an inch and a half. Now they fit great and don't clang into each other and feel clumsy. You will probably want to order some cover strip material from trooperbay.com or other providers so you're prepared to make the adjustments. Here is an unboxing video of my RS full commission stormtrooper, if it helps you:
  20. I ordered mine (full commission stormtrooper) on September 9 and received it on November 9, 2015 They said that it would have been a quicker turnaround, but the halloween season bogged them down. Hope this helps. Here is an unboxing video if you're interested:
  21. Hi Shawn! I had the same question a couple of months ago when I was trying to decide. I ultimately went with RS Prop Masters. I just received my full stormtrooper commission two weeks ago. Here is a video of the unboxing in case you are interested:
