  1. With some luck, I'm hoping to finish this thread before the end of January as well. Then finally get those patches I ordered months ago onto my TK bomber jacket!
  2. Hard to believe it was almost a year ago we were all hanging around in the holding dock waiting for that email from Mark at AP - ahhh epic times. [emoji869][emoji38]
  3. Awesome to hear from you again brother, and thank you!!!
  4. Many thanks mate - fist bump!
  5. After removing what I needed to, I then painted the area with gloss black to conceal any visible imperfections.
  6. Cheers mate! That's exactly what I did to start removing resin from the scope lens in the back [emoji38][emoji106]! Beat me to the punch lol [emoji23]
  7. When working on resin cast parts you have to go slow and take your time - so that if you hit an air bubble it doesn't create more problems for later repair. I scribed center marks on the centers of the lens area so my drill bit doesn't skip around when starting to remove material. I've drilled out the front lens of the scope with just enough space to house the new glass lens and an extra 1/8" space in behind so that if light hits it from the front you don't see the resin in behind. Next, I scribed mark locations so when I go to reattach and glue the front scope lens it will match up and not sit askew. Using a mini hacksaw I finished removing the front lens so I can insert the lens from inside and not affect the visible detail from the front view.
  8. With the scope rail, counter, and scope removed - I started cleaning things up to prepare for the addition of the glass lenses and power cell wires.
  9. So far here's the work on my blaster... I have decided to use semi-gloss for the main body and I like the finish as it looks very similar to the blueing on my old C-7.
  10. Yes, it's been a while mates - however progress is being made in multiple fronts. New ATA Helmet S-trim acquired for my bucket, repairs and new measurements to take in my thigh armor underway, lastly more work on my QuestDesign E-11 to make it a little more accurate for my Centurion application.

  16. Extra added bonus, my good friend Comrade Dave has an extra AP ab button plate that he has kindly offered to paint for me, and will be shipping of in the weeks to come so that my ab section will be ready for final review!
  17. Additionally, I have repainted my rubber hand guards and mounted them on a new pair of rubber gloves.
  18. Here we go with some more progress: Work is ongoing with my blaster I've pre-taped my blaster to prepare for painting a satin black spray paint. I originally had intended to do a hammered finish on the barrel but after reviewing quite a few threads - I believe the semi-gloss finish will look best. I corrected the range finder sight at the back of the blaster so that the notches are on the correct side. I used "Fix-It Stik" to fill in the notches in the front, and a micro-file to make new notches in the back.
  19. Stellar work my friend!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
