  1. Made another small donation as well Tim [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Cheers mate, and many thanks!
  3. Cheers brother! Here's the dismantled survey equipment I found - I was originally planning on using the parts for my EH Blaster thread but found a new approach that I plan to use. I will be working on that thread after this one to kill the time for my Premier FN (Heavy Gunner) kit to arrive from Anovos.
  4. Beautiful - I will see what I have at home (all of the screws I have been using are from old survey equipment sight glasses that just happen to be the same size as what I've needed)
  5. Über thanks Marc!
  6. Seeing as Joseph has got me groovin' - time for a morale boost and raise the energy level - WHOOOO-WAHHH! [emoji38] https://youtu.be/i-jdhorGtQI Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Anytime my friend - anytime!
  8. Yes my brother, I'm trying to find a better detailed picture to see the style of screw - you said eyeglass screws (so "Phillips" style head?) All I've been able to find for reference are these in our weapons locker forum...
  9. Thanks Joseph! And I still love that movie (Pyrates busting moves to the "Neutron Dance")
  10. Much appreciation good sir!
  11. With some more TKLC with a micro file and goodbye glue and seam.
  12. 24 hours later... lens and all new detail screws secured! I taped off the front lens to prep for painting and prevent damage to the lens.
  13. I then allowed another 24 hours for the glue to set - which is way over kill, but for those that have come to know me, I'm never in that much of a hurry and it's better to be safe then sorry.
  14. Here we go - more blaster scope progress! With the lens glued in and allowed 24 hours to cure, it was time to re-attach to the main body. I gave both bonding surfaces a once over with a fine tipped wire brush so the CA glue will anchor well when the two pieces get joined back together. Time for glue...
  15. Many humble thanks brother!
  16. Awww man [emoji20]I would have loved to buy this bad boy - freaking Christmas lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Using a Dremel cutting disc and a micro file to clean things up it's starting to look a little better.
  18. While that's drying over the next 24 hours, let's start to clean up the counter in preparation for connection wires to the power cells.
  19. Time to secure the front glass lens using super glue and a toothpick to ensure good coverage and anchoring.
  20. With a little TK magic... presto!
  21. Next I wanted to take details a step further with the front of the scope - time to add some real screws! To ensure no dust or damage occurred to my paint job I covered it up with some painters tape and began to remove the old details using a Dremel and a drill.
  22. Moving along, moving along [emoji23] I cleaned up the scope after drilling out the sections I needed to mount the lenses and added some more black gloss paint to hide any minor visible imperfections.
  23. Thank you brother - fist bump [emoji38][emoji106]! I'm always here, just lurking in the shadows when things are hectic. I have been busy in my attaché responsibilities traveling my AOR (area of responsibility - over 3000km/ 1864 miles logged so far lol) helping new and old troopers build armor. Occasionally squeezing in a troop here and there too with regular life in between.
