So hate to say it. But i'm about to give up on this project. All i seem to have done in the last two days is total frack up cuts. rat chew the shucks out of making joining strips. I think i just dont have the hand eye coordination to do it. (oh actually i think i know i dont, i had a lerning disabiltity around hand eye coordination) damn there must be something to make this easier. but starting to think i'm screwed

Ok still trying to master the joining strip... hehe. But getting closer (and have ordered extra material from trooper bay. Almost ready to try and join some of the forearm pieces. I'm actually on PTO this week and trying to dedicate some serious time to the armor. But this whole cutting a straight line thing is killing me. More pictures soon, Hopefully of at least a few completed parts! Thanks for all the input gang. I'm sure i'll be asking more and more questions.

Wow my 5/8th joining stips i cut are HORRIBLE>.. I've sent an email to Trooper bay to see if he can sell the joining strips pre cut. But the cutting of my forarms pieces actually ended up pretty well. Just got done sanding them down (my cuts were jagged) now i just need joining strips to start 6000 them together. Tomorrow i'm working our Garrisons booth at Comicon Richmond. So no more work for me for a few days on the kit.. Anyone have any good tricks on how to cut out the 58th joining strips??

So i've started the cutting.. And i've realized i SUCK at drawing and cutting straight lines... GAAAAAAAHHH Pictures soon... Maybe... My cuts are soo bad right now

Ah more tools.. and hte one i need the most. The anti Cut gloves,,, i'm also a guitarist so my fingers are inportant

Oh i think for a while i'll be useing the exacto Knife for most of it. I'm actually going to put togteher a little dust catching set up. Box with Shop vac attached. (off to the side) so when i dremmil it will pull the dust (pretty smart i must say hehe)

Oh yea i know. I have all his videos saved on my playlist. hehe. His business plan works well.. Make the kits. Then mke great videos on how to build. Then i went to the site and bought all the stuff he used... hehe Just wish my order from him would show up. But i'll have my laptop on the table while i watch the videos step by step.. heheh I need to just get my butt on it and start trimming some hehe

Great post! One question though. For the wires and things you say mr.nostripes.com. That doesent seem to be valid. Is there somewhere i can get a kit of that?

Well this is going slowly.. Due to waiting on a large order from Trooper bay that seems to be delayed due to missing velcro in stock. So i did get some stuff via amazon. Now to work up the nerve to start trimming things...

Yea they get the love but thoes of us with Soft costumes can actually see everyone (and make faces at you hard armors behind your back hehe) Of course my opinion will change in a month or two when i get my armor done heheh

Started my build thread yesterday. Somewhat annoyed. I put in a pretty big order to Trooper Bay last week for the tools and supplies i needed. Nothing from them. And they haven't responded to any of my emails or facebook messages. grrr. So i broke down and ordered some of the stuff from amazon since i know it will be here quick. Yes i know i could just go to a store and get stuff but with my work schedule its easier to just have it show up at my house heh. IF anyone knows whats up with trooperbay let me know.

Thanks Barcode. I will be takeing this SLOOOOOWW.. I am so not a craft/handy person. And i'm doing lots of research and reading on here. I have my ID costume (and soon a Tie Reserve) to troop in till this is done. But we know the gang in Armor gets all the loves hehe

SO got some more pictures to share of the beginning of all of this So it was inventory time Seems i have everything. Also this had lots of extras like the neck seal. Compression suit and gloves and boots and holster! So now i wait for my package from Trooperbay with all my tools and stuff.. hopefully soon. then i'll get building UNtill then i'll just sit around in my bucket (came finished by MTK)

Like i was saying it was a real steal this kit i got since it came wiht a pair of TK boots... down side... they dont fit me.. Also dumb question.. is there a limit on image upload or something?? I keep getting errors if i try to add too many pictures???

Just wish the large amount of Tools and Adhesives i ordered from Trooper Bay a week ago had shown up too.. So i think i'll be doing lots of unboxing and waiting. hehe

So my wife just texted me this picture. So i guess i'll start this thread now.. Trying to work out the best photo site to post things as i build. I love reading all the threads here and will be looking at them constantly before i start cutting my fingers off and mis measuring everything hehe. I look forward to your input and help!
