Rick you are right. Some of the parts aren't good at all. But I can work some. I think this trooper is quite tall. I won't know for sure until it arrives.

Hi guys.... As some of you are aware I produce CFO ROTJ Stormtrooper armour from moulds bought from Cameron Oakley in Australia. These moulds pre date all fan made trooper moulds in the world and up until recently were the only cast from original lineage stormtrooper armour available. Until the fantastic RS Props suit came to light. I'm not saying I have the only moulds as a few sets were cast from the original suit... Notably TE, Gino and mine. All Fan armour that is screen accurate derives from these 3 sets of moulds ( apart from RS props ANH) and most altered them to look ANH, I didn't and stuck to it's true origins of ROTJ. This was a huge gamble as there was not much love for ROTJ but I thought it was silly to have direct lineage armour that was reworked to be not what it was supposed to be. The original suit was missing some parts and most fan made armour derived from this suit only had 1 shin side, 1 forearm, Knee belt, Knee diamond, Back canister detail and end caps, and belt. Now up until now I have been using parts sculpted by myself for the missing parts and the shins and arms have always been used as the same on both sides.... NOW......... I have just scored a complete set of Disney Tour armour and lid.... I know it's ugly and the lid is of no use in terms of accuracy as are some of the parts.... BUT it is derived from a set of ROTJ armour and it has all the missing parts for the completion of my armour.... I will be able to offer both legs and arms, the shoulder bells are a more true to Jedi look...... As you can see some of the parts have been altered for ease of movement during the tours....... Feast you eyes on this! These are not my pics but are pics of the actual suit. If they need to be removed please advise......

They won't work on original Newey snaps but should work on most universal standard snaps

Yeah the roughness is on the mould. I'll be cleaning it up later but for this run it there.

I have just done a run of armour and lids in 2mm pinseal ABS which is a lovely creamy white glossy plastic. I'll get some pics up shortly..... The pinseal texture is not easy to photograph but it is the closest I have got to the originals yet. I was hoping to be able to use 1.5mm but it is not possible to get a white gloss back to it whereas the 2mm is.... Here's a reaser of my new Oakley helmet in 2mm pinseal.

Liquid solvent cement is a winner too.... It's all I use. Sets in 15 minutes and is invisible....

I am thinking of getting a whole suit done but I can imagine it being quite an expensive job...... If someone buys my weathered armour I have up for sale I might consider going for it.

I had a load of Indiana Golden idols Vac metalized and asked them to throw this in with them.... These are the idols....

Hi guys, I thought you would like to see what I have been up to this week. I have been making Indiana Jones Golden idols for a couple of other forums and whilst I was at the Vac Metalizing company that did the original Idols and C3P0 coincidentally I thought why not get a TK lid chromed! Well it's not completely finished yet but you get the idea.... I haven't decided yet about decals.... What colour etc??? Or none at all?? What do you reckon?

A two part epoxy is pretty strong stuff. Have you tried soaking them in hot water and used a knife to gently prise them apart. You may have to sand the epoxy off. The only thing I know that desolves epoxy is acetone but that will disolve the ABS too so don't use that....

Caleb, I've just gone through the stock I have here and it seems that the plastic company had changed the protective wrapper on the ABS from a nice plastic bag type film to an almost crispy cellophane type wrapper. And it seems to react differently under the heat of the former. I'm not sure why they have changed it other than maybe it's a cheaper wrap? I think if you give it a quick polish with a T cut or a novus or something similar it will buff off. Maybe even a car wax polish may do it. Anything not too abrasive.

I'd say they weigh pretty similar. Having owned both. I haven't had both here at the same time but they are both heavy.
