Great Work Rich! The armour looks great. Apparently I have to get clearance before any of my pics can be used for this. I am building a set in the next couple of weeks for another new member here. So I should get some pics soon that you may be able to use.....

You guys crack me up. I will get clearance soon. I've just bought a pair of running trainers and bottoms so as soon as I shed the pounds I'll don a set and get clearance. On a more serious note. Why the hell is there no ROTJ section???

I'm not worthy! So does that mean I can't access ROTJ sections that my armour sets the standards for? I was pretty much going to echo what Paul said anyway. So carry on.

If you want it to look used I sand the raised edges and the recesses with varying grades of sand paper hen cover the entire armour with wood stain then remove with white spirit as much as possible then blend using a fleece or scouring pad. Buff with news paper...... done. It is more time consuming than I make out and do each piece separately. I take all the shine off with a very fine wet n dry paper like a 2000 grit. I even kick the armour and helmet around the car park to give it that natural worn in look. Once it is weathered you don't have to look after it! On the helmet I hit the raised painted areas with sand paper to wear off bits here and there. If you are nervous about the sand paper and wood stain just do it a stage at a time. You can always add more later.....

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Id say if it works for you and you are comfortable using a solder iron keep using it. I use a drill or a spike.

Just use super glue for the trim. Dot it along the the edge of the armour and push on the trim. Done! Yes one rivet each side on the belt. The rivet attaches the belt to the Ab plate and the drop boxes so goes through everything in one. You can rivet the knee box belt on or glue it there is evidence of both. Any thing else youneed to know just ask.

I have an old Disney tour suit that I just acquired and it is made of 2.5-3mm pinseal very sturdy and yes cut down. The shins are shortened from the bottom and the thighs are shortened from the top. The ab plate is overly short as is almost every other torso part. The shoulder bells are not huge as Vern put it but actually just cut down more, so slightly smaller but they do have a nice ROTJ pinch to them. Everything looks to have been cast from a Jedi suit. I was under the impression that the suits were almost rubbery for the ease of dancing but the one I have certainly isn't. It's painted white on top of the ABS. The bastardized helmet is fiberglass. and has mesh accross the opened up eyes and the tears have been cut out and mesh over holes where you would normally find mic tips...... It's still a nice historic piece for my collection and I will find a use for some of the parts that are missing from the moulds I use to produce my armour. Like the other shin, correct shoulder bells and possibly other parts. I will need to add the lenght of the parts again but at least I don't have to start from scratch and I'll be able to for the first time supply a complet suit with all lefts and rights......

Too be honest it doesn't matter what colour you use on the arms as the originals were glued both sides on the arms..... But for continuity I'd go white.......

That metal finish is great and makes for a very convincing Sterling.... You wouldn't believe it was plastic!

The shoulders are very ROTJ. If you don't like Jedi then you won't like the shoulders!

Everyone thought I was mad using the Oakley moulds but I think I did alright......

I got it for a good deal.... As I said I can still work from what I have in this suit and it's better than starting from scratch.... A bit of extension here and there is not hard to do I will have the essence of the shape even if a bit cut down....

I'm going to wait till it arrives to see the comparison next to my other parts. I have no idea of the dimensions of this trooper wearing it. If parts are slightly shortened it's not too much work to build up the parts again. It's more of a base than I have at the mo. Yes the shoulder bell, O2 details hand guards and sniper plate etc are all good. I'll find out soon.
