Great, thank you! I will do as much as I can, to get the Helmet more accurate, but as stated above it will be some work, to correct the eyes. I need to remove the sugru and most of all, bend the acrylic lenses into the new form, which will be a bit of a hassle, to get them to sit flush at all points. -

@ukswrath: how about the eyes, will they be needed for L3? -

Thanks for the answer, the ear on the helmet will be a real problem I already pulled it into more of an angle, any more will probably need a new cap and probably ear... How about the eyes, will that be a problem? The helmet will be rather time-consuming to fix. I'd like to put it off for a bit, if possible. -

Ahhh okay, the elastics, now I get it, they are there but might have slipped a bit to the front. Have to look into that. Thanks you! -

First of all: Thank you very much! I'm already working on most of the issues. Strapping of torso and arms is in work. Abdomen Button is in work. The right ear is pulled into a slanting position as much as possible. @ukswrath, will this be a problem for centurion if I can't angle it any more? What do you mean by "the right shoulder cover strap is missing"? Both straps are in place and visible on the pictures, or don't I quite get what you mean? -
Mine were a little off too. One was okay and off center, the other was centered. But this is an easy fix.

Hi Tony, the waist belt had tape on it to prevent the Chicago screws from scratching up the armour, the pictures without it are the normal case. For some reason I also taped it on the front. Beats me why I did it. So, in conclusion, the detail pictures of the holster fastening is as it is. Here is the picture of the knee ammo belt: -

After a few weeks of silence a little update: I had my first troop mid Dec. This weekend I plan to take the pictures for the EIB and Centurion approval.
-
Nope, no plan for a race until now, but it would be nice to be able to.
-
Yes I am a bit to talk for a stormtrooper, I am 185cm high. Most of the excess height is in the legs, as the torso seems to fit as intended. I think you got me wrong here, Matt. Right now the legs seem to be good, no armour bite while walking up and down stairs. And no big mobility issues here. So from that point I think I can keep the ends in the backs of the knees straight. But I will see if I think otherwise after my first troop, which will be on Dec. 15th. To be able to run in armour would be another goal, I simply haven't worked up the courage to try it out.
-
I have gone a bit away from the bolt being movable. The length of the bolt is the same as the real one. But with the wire for the trigger going into the handle of the gun, I fear that it can get stuck, the same is for the wires of the LEDs. I have no way to get them I and out of the bolt during sliding it back. The bigger problem would be if it is pushes back in place by the spring. So I decided to keep it where it is after install. Here is a picture of the barrel with the LEDs in it: And here the only thing I got to yesterday, shortening the handle and extractor with the Flex: For bette understanding what gut cut, the outer ones are the original sizes of the parts.
-
By the way, walking stairs works better in the armour than I thought. But I want to have a rail in one hand, as I think the visibility in the bucket and stairs might spell disaster. Until now I haven't had the courage to try running in armour.
-
Thank Jesse, yes it is installed so when the trigger is pulled fully, the plate of the switch touches the housing completely. So no additional pressure to the switch. With my setup I need the space in the bolt for the board, that is why the cocking handle needs to be a lot shorter. As of now it goes all the way through the bolt and takes up most of the room in there. In a less intrusive way this goes for the ejector with the detail that it has a very sharp end which I don't want near the wires.
-
Got a little further with the E11. I made a holder for the trigger switch. It holds the switch against the trigger. The switch is held in there by ABS dowels which go through the holes. The holder itself is held in the trigger assembly by a small sheet of ABS in the back, after aligning I secured it with hot glue. The "barrel" is done. I already have installed the LEDs in there but I forgot to take pictures of it. Will post them later. The LED strip is attached to a strip of ABS via velcro. (The double sided tape wouldn't hold ...) I started prepping the counter for the display and drilled a hole for the wires. One of the next big things will be to shorten the ejector and the cocking handle. The get in the way of the already limited space in the gun. And without the cocking handle I can't get further with assembly.

Thank you, for the warm welcome But as I said it will be a bit till I can place EIB since I want to get the BlastFX into the Sterling and that is putting a bit of work my way. Incidentally a bit more than I thought.

Did not get to much in the last few days. Only cut the thighs and reworked the left forearm a bit. AAAAAND.... I submitted my basic approval request. As of this morning: TK24576 reporting for duty. Now to get ready for EIB and Centurion. Some tweets on the armour. For example the kidney and abdomen plate tend to overlap on the right side, when the belt is closed. I am not sure what I will use, tabs, magnets... Have to tinker a bit here. Work on the inner padding of the left knee, this is still a wonky and pushes the knee outwards And most importantly, the blaster needs to be done.
-
Good Point Paul! Thank you for chiming in.

Those are the measurements I got from RS: But keep in mind , if you are very broad in the shoulders, these might be to small. Okay, if you are very broad in the shoulders, the RS bells are also to narrow.
