  1. Yes sir. I have a build thread over at RPF: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=240061 Mardon (MLC)
  2. Good find as I cut holes in my fiberglass suit I think I missed a pic of the shin holes. Mardon (MLC)
  3. Awesome project! The kid would love it! Just curious - how much is the 48" toy going for?
  4. I was playing with sintra the other day and tried to attempt the pistol. Mardon (MLC)
  5. That turned out great! Mardon
  6. This is not the FOTK pistol blaster, but just thought I'd play around in Photoshop of a Glock and pdw conversion kit. 13.5" long.
  7. Thank you for your feedback Tim - appreciate it A possible solution maybe to make the cloth gaskets a tad bigger and sorta like tack it to the armor to make it as part of the armor perhaps? Mardon (MLC)
  8. I had our small neighbourhood tailor attempt a sample of fabric gaskets. He sandwiched a white foam filler with 2 black cloths and sew lines 1/4" apart. He added garters at both ends, so its worn like socks. I was wondering if you guys think its good enough or not and if you think it may pass CRL? Mardon (MLC)
  9. Great job as always, Peter! Mardon (MLC)
  10. Thanks for showing the pic Brian. That TD seems to be following the curves of his spine. Must've been a super hot shooting day as the 3 rib design of the TD should atleast counter that flexing. Mardon (MLC)
  11. I dont have an Anovos tfa suit, so I hope you can permit me to post my 02 cents....... Placing velcro is a good idea and more convenient to put on or remove. I would suggest dry mounting the velcro to check gaps or if the velcro will show. My fiberglass tk ab plate has velcro and we used the 'industrial' strength kind which I presumed is thicker than the regular. We created a flange that would conform to the depth of the velcro which was about 3/8" so the exterior look is flushed. Wearing it at first is ok, but after prolonged use you get to feel that 3/8" depth digging into your sides. With your tfa forearm, you might need to glue a new flange where the other side of the velcro would mount to - this would naturally make your forearms smaller inside. This is of course when you close your forearm it would sit flush to the side and no velcro will be seen. But if you have large arms, it might not work. Mardon (MLC)
  12. I concur as I've seen an inside pic of one of the helmets. I made my own helmet and had the "W" mouth profile cut out and since we are in a tropical country, I just thought it would be beneficial to have more air to come in. Probably easier to communicate as well. Mardon (MLC)
  13. My daughter found this in a fabric place. Its called "tulle" and possibly a good candidate if nothing else. Its 4mm per cell. Probably add either a solid backing or maybe speaker cloth for breathability and easier communication while wearing the helmet. Mardon (MLC)
  14. Aloha Jeroen, May I ask how the sides of the chest armor mates/connects with the sides of the back armor? Thanks! Mardon (MLC)
  15. Im afraid its not even close. The one used by Anovos is a honeycomb/hexagonal pattern like the enclosed pic below. However, Im interested to know what type of material it is - fabric, plastic or metal as mesh do come in those 3 materials.
