Ok, TD sub assembly is finished, all except the clips which are waiting in Florida. Also... The blood sacrifice has been made. Ouch. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk -
DJMatrix's ANH TK Stunt Build for my FiL

Next up, ab button plates, hand plates, and TD. The TD caps were smallish, but thankfully I have a router attachment for my Dremel so I could sand down the edges with some precision. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk -
DJMatrix's ANH TK Stunt Build for my FiL

First up, the bucket build. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk -
Hey Troopers, Drew here from the Carolina Garrison. My wife and I pitched a crazy Christmas present for her dad, to my MiL and she gave us the green light. The idea is he opens the bucket on Christmas morning, and I get cracking on final fit and assembly of the kit. I pulled together the bill of material, and since it's a surprise, we have to build it in a certain way. James (my FiL) is a smart dude, and if we pull measurements he'll know we're up to something. So I'm starting with the bucket, then working my way through rough trim and paint where possible. I'll be working in their garage over Christmas (in Florida), so it's not my home Turf. I need to get as much done, with my tools in Charleston. So the plan will be to get as much done ahead of time, and source all the consumables and other kit items to have a successful submission to the GML team in the Florida Garrison. I'll also take some time and help my MiL with kitting up/down my FiL (I have a checklist which I'll print out). Here are the kit details: Armor and Helmet: Intergalactic Supply Hovi: Ukswrath Lens, Tube Stripes, S-Trim: Trooperbay Neck Seal: Darman Belt: Homemade canvas w/vinyl insert Holster: Darman Gloves: Nomex Boots: Crow Props Blaster: Quest Design Cheers, Drew Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk

POST 95 TK-61515 of the Carolina Garrison, impromptu neighborhood troop fundraising for St. Baldrick's Foundation. 1. 2. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk -
It was a smaller diameter pipe. There's a bit of spring in that wire. Then once I slid the coil into the channel, i used a screwdriver to tease the coil into the correct position. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

This gentleman. Any leads? Apparently someone spotted him at DragonCon as well this year. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

At SWCO we saw a samurai stormtrooper. I'm curious if anyone knows where to find that kit? Or if someone can put me in touch with a samurai TK out there. Thanks! Andrew TK/TI/SL-61515 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I took all return off, but like I said, I've got thicker legs. I've seen some builds retain the edge. And I have in other places on the Armor. But thats a sensitive area! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

You're going to want to trim the return edge on the top flange. That's going to dig in and bite pretty good. [emoji33] make sure you're measuring the circumference of your thighs before removing too much material. I may rework mine in the rear by increasing the thickness of the cover strip (I've got thicker legs). And, as always... Measure twice, cut once, and use a straight edge. Andrew's First Build - WTF ANH Stunt TK
djmatrix09 replied to djmatrix09's topic in ANH Build Threads
First Troop! At a SC Stingrays Hockey game, with jersey auction/raffle proceeds going to Charleston Habitat for Humanity. What a blast. We got to accompany the ceremonial Puck drop, and walk the mezzanine. Crazy seeing people from work, and the public, and their general reactions to the armor. Loved every minute of it. Aside from a couple of armor bites on the calves, it trooped perfectly. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -
Correct. The pull on the WTF center buttons is quite deep. Grinding down and adding a backer plate is the way to go. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Magni is correct. Keep the forward cover strip around 20mm, or whatever works, then you use the aft strip to fit your body better. I went with 24/22mm for my return flange and cover strips after taking all my measurements (twice or thrice). Don't despair, a WTF is totally doable for 6' 194lbs. I'm in that range as well. This is what I did with my build. No way 15/15mm would fit my frame. My wife helped me line up everything and I basically split the difference across the front and back. Just remember... Measure twice and cut once! I caught myself a few times. Cheers! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
