Hi Christian, a really nice build so far. I agree with Scott on that side-rivet-issue. You really should change the positions of most (if not all) rivets and close the holes with ABS-Paste. I had to re-position my rivets during my Centurion-Application until it looked like this: If you make the change to the position of the rivets, the upper edges of the ab- and the kidney-plate should meet flush. I will show you that on my armor tomorrow afternoon.

Hi Russel. I am just blessed to have the right tools and materials in my workshop. That's why I was able to make all those changes that quick. So just be prepared for everything to be fixed at anytime on your armor. When I am on a troop, I always have my Toolbox with me. I store sharp knifes in there as well as a hot-glue-gun, fixing-clamps, elastic straps, zap-a-gap, tape, ABS-stripes, a pencil, a black marker and some more small things that might be of great use. And if I should not need to use that stuff, maybe a fellow trooper is in urgent need of it. So beeing prepared is always important. You can react on all matters very quick and collect a lot of good experinece. I wish you a lot of fun and a good hand in building you armor. Can't wait to see the results

TK-18421 Request ANH Stunt Centurion Status [ATA][162]
Paggeldiwwer replied to Barcode's topic in Request Centurion Status
Congratulations Ben. Your Armor looks beautyful. You have build it up nice and clean. A shiny example how it looks at it's best By the way: I really like that dancing trooper - my kids also can not get enough of it -
A very nice and clean build. Congratulation on that. The only thing that might get revisited could be the sniper-kneeplate. On the photo it appears as some of the "cut-away-material" was not ... cut away ☺ If that should be so, I think you will have no problem to cut the extra-material underneath the lower red line. Then the whole kneeplate should be slightly liftet upwards to match the edges of the shin (the two other red lines should touch). http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/uploads/gallery/album_22/gallery_14191_22_72381.jpg Should be no big deal at all. Thumbs up!

Wow, I want to thank you all so much for your kind words and your congratulations. It was quite a way. But you helped me through with so many recommendations which I felt to be a great motivation. And I do not want to forget Guidon Messika of Movie-FX who did the basic job on this armor by vacuumforming and basic assembly. Then I started to learn about a lot about my armor and how to really modify it until it suited me that fine. I put some thirty extra-hours to get my beloved Trooper-Armor to reach the ranks. It was all worth it. I am as happy as could be. Thank you all once again!!!

It's me again. Since I do not like unfinished work - even when it was done quick and nice on the first sight - I revisited my armor today and cleaned up the spots around the holes that I filled with ABS-Paste. On the yesterday shot it just looked horrible to me. And since Albin made an announcement to keep the armor as nice and clean as possible, I felt it was the only correct way to really finish my work on these spots. Now please have an eye on the cleaned and polished version today. Thank you very much for your kind comments, your encouragement and all the suggestions that helped me to improve my armor that far.

I think that would help a lot. Then one can clearly see, that no rivet is to be positioned underneath the cod-line. This morning before i started my "real world"-work, i have drilled the holes and set in the rivets in the right positions. Now the ABS-Paste needs to dry as well as the white color on the rivet-heads. In a few hours that whole thing will be fixed.

... and the rivets start to become an issue for level 3 only following the CRL. Perhaps it would be an idea to add the exact measurements for the positioning of those rivets to the CRL? But no big deal to me at all. I will drill and paste today and load up a picture or two later that day. @Germain: thank you for your suggestion and your sharp eyes.

As Steve mentioned in my EIB-Application, I have corrected the belt and filled the recesses. And I cut a new tube for my Thermal Detonator as well. The old Thermal Detonator was about 200mm wide. The new one came down to the width of about 185mm as suggested. Due to the fact that the center panel kept the width that it had, there will still be a little extra bit of space between the panel and the end caps. The thickness of the clips is 2mm. I checked my favorite hardware store for thinner ones but these would be made of 1mm stainless steel and are currently out of stock. I hope the quality of the pictures is good enough. My wife took them this afternoon while our children were running through the garden like fleeing bulls on a stampede and we where lucky to get those shoots at all. If it should be necessary to retake some of the shots, please let me know. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Congratulations Clint. Not only for that nice piece of armor but for this very great build-thread. You and your fellows have put an extreme amount of sweat and blood into this - and it payed off. As for all of us who are waiting for the armor to be shipped in by fall this year, I would like to say "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" for that helpful documentation. Now I am sure that I need to take a few weeks off for the build of the TFA-Trooper ...

Allright, Gentlemen. Thank you so far for your comments on the details. First I corrected the position of the snap on the right side of the armor: Thank you again, Germain, for your input on this. And now Andrew, you were right about that sick look of the folding-stock. I fixed that thing in a much better way: And that annoying resin-scope rail also had to bite the dust and was replaced by an aluminium-rail: Thank's again, Troopers, for your sharp eyes.

The magazin-housing appears to be mirrored in Position and design while they moved it from the left to the right. The end-cap seems to be the same. The folding-stock looks a bit more massive than the traditional one. Can't wait to get more details on all that. Does anyone got an idea of that gun's name? E-12? F-11, E-11+30 years?

Snap-Loop to hold the Shins
Paggeldiwwer replied to Paggeldiwwer's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Cool. I only had the Problem in the front. It never appeared to be an iissueat the heel. Interesting how different our experiences can be with those shins. And my boots are only 4 mm smaller than TKBoots. So that should not have been the reason for my shins to pull up. Perhaps my legs just went fat after christmas😅 -
Snap-Loop to hold the Shins

Even if it might not be screen accurate, but 1. You can not see whether there is something like that installed 2. everything stays smoothly in place - even if I have to climb stairs. So I tried to close up to my problem from a practical point of view. It worked out fine to me. I have really tested the velcro-solution but it did not work for me. So I had to find something else. -
Snap-Loop to hold the Shins

These boots I am wearing at the moment are just some "stand-in"-boots by now - the good ones are on their way ... But for the Moment they do fine ... And yes, I guess Felice meant the "stirrups". But as long as I have not found an exact german word for it, it has proven to be difficult to find an english translation What I like about this solution is the comfort of the snaps versus a permanent installation of the stirrups - especially in terms of dressing
