  1. Nope I think the trimming looks good. I believe Tony and Mathias were talking about the thickness of the plastic the plate is made out of.
  2. Looks like the tape protected the paint. Your helmet turned out quite well, Pete. Nothing jumps out at me that would prevent it from passing.
  3. Coming along nicely. Have you done all the rough assembly on the helmet? Usually that's done before the paint so that any work you do doesn't scratch up your paint job.
  4. Thanks for posting this! I'm looking for a way to display my helmet and this is perfect.
  5. Yep, that's what I was talking about. Got rid of that return edge and brought the edges inside the raised section on the ab.
  6. The armor really does look fantastic. Nice work, Josh. You should get your TK number in no time.
  7. Good luck, John! BTW, your blaster build thread was excellent! I used it as a step-by-step on how to build mine and incorporate T-jay's mod kit. Glad to see you going for your Centurion!
  8. I'm curious to see what Gaz says about the sniper plate. I see Josh's conundrum, the current position lets the plate stand vertical and away from dude's kneecap, but isn't aligned with the return edge. If he aligns the return edges, the plate angles back and hits the kneecap. Is there a way to modify the return edge so it lines up with the sniper plate's edge?
  9. I think the button plate looks pretty good.
  10. In addition to what Tony said, is the 4 button plate in that last picture sitting on the right side (when wearing the armor) of the ab? It should be on the left side. Also, make sure you remove all the return edge from the belt rivet covers. They should be flat against the belt. Keep up the good work!
  11. You posted the pic of Luke in his belt just as I typed my reply. I wonder if ANH Hero regs on the belt are different than Stunt. Hmm...
  12. LOL@ the belt. Your original was definitely too low, and looks better, even if a bit high. The chest plate/ab gap also jumped out at me, as well as the shoulder bells. But those have been addressed. Looking good. As for your sniper plate, I think they are pretty picky about the ridges lining up. So make sure they do. However, looking at your side pic your plate seems to be tilted back. If you look at the bottom row of knobbies they aren't horizontal like the pic Tony posted. You could probably get away with a tilt forward a few degrees away from your knee. Keep up the good work!
  13. Hi Stein. Good progress, so far. I was looking at your bicep cover strips and they stick up a bit beyond the actual armor. You might want to trim that portion down a bit so they don't snag on anything when you are trooping.
  14. Coming along really nicely, Josh. You're almost there!
  15. Wonderful newsletter. I especially liked the interview with Mr. Muir Thanks for all the work that goes into these posts.
  16. Christopher Hills 51114 Centurion Letter Thanks Mathias.
  17. gazmosis makes an accurate twill (material used in the movies) belt. Not sure if he's done a run recently, but you might want to shoot him a PM.
  18. Looks great, Kyle. I can tell you put a lot of work into this armor. One thing I noticed is that the 4 screws on the TD should be black. Good luck!
