Another vote for Darman's neck seal, Karin's hand guards, and Home Depot's rubber gloves.

Looking good so far, Mark.
For fitting, the chest should come up farther, almost to your throat. And the back piece shouldn't overlap the kidney.
-
Congratulations, Oscar! Excellent build and I'm glad to see another Spaniard among the Centurions.
-
I got the 2mm capped. It is amazingly shiny; I get compliments on it all the time.
Good choice going with TM armor!
-
Yep, velcro. I got some at Lowe's and used it to hold the padding from a crashed Arai motorcycle helmet in place. Fits like a dream.

Let the fun begin!

Start with marking all parts for trimming with a pencil. Then use some lexan scissors to trim the excess.

For the first parts to build I recommend the biceps. They are pretty easy to get right and if you make a mistake they are partially hidden by the shoulder bells.

Yeah your belt will cover the butt kidney gap, but it's alright to have a gap there. The back and kidney should be right against each other. So I suggest moving the kidney up a bit.
-
Can you get your thigh any higher? I can see your knee plate getting in the way.
-
Hey Jason, for your ammo pack I would suggest you center it when looking from the front of the thigh and the pack together.
-
Look fine to me.
-
Try not to have that much gap between your back and kidney; and you can have more of a gap between your kidney and butt plates.
-
You want only a slight gap between the kidney and the butt plates, and there should be no gap or overlap between the back and kidney. The chest should overlap the ab by a decent amount. Your butt and cod should be strapped together snuggly enough that they don't move around when you walk.
If you use nylon webbing for your strapping there shouldn't be any stretching.
Check out the Centurion applications or the reference pics for more detail.

Best of luck, Josh!
Hey, is that your neck seal sticking out above your back armor?
-
Very cool, Oscar. But before you redo your helmet, check with Steve. Your way may be passable. I'd hate it if you'd redo your helmet for nothing.
-
Post some pics.
As for the hole, mix up some ABS paste, apply, let dry, sand, repeat.

Hi Oscar. Very nice looking set of armor; overall you did a great job.
A couple of things stand out to me, however.
On your front shot, your forearms looks a bit high, and the right one overlaps the bicep.
Your thigh ammo pack curve could use a bit smoothing out.
The gap between you ammo boxes and your belt looks non-existent when wearing the armor, but in that one picture there's a significant gap. Not sure about this.
And your helmet, it looks like you used a sharpie to draw the black pinstripe around the traps and the lines inside them. Not sure about this either.
Finally, it appears you still have the pencil outlines around your tube stripes. You might want to remove those.
Bueno Suerte!!!

Awesome, Jordi! Congratulations on achieving Centurion!
-
Thanks, Carolina!
Yep, they can be either brown or black. If you look at the boarding party at the beginning of ANH they have black leather.
-
The gap is gone! Nice. Now just make sure the edges of the boxes line up with the edge of the belt.
And your cover strips look a lot better.
-
Congratulations!

Congratulations, Josh!!

Your armor looks great. The only thing I noticed is what Marc mentioned. Nothing else stands out to me.
Best of luck!

Didn't do cover strips today. Tighs had a bit of a gap on the end, so I redid the left one since it's not covered by the ammo pack.
But... I did the right one instead, so double the ammount of work. Hoooh!
So todays deeds;
- Ab main button cover is glued on. Didn't have lego so winged it with a big book.
LOL I'm guessing you saw my build thread.
No LEGO??? I thought every house had LEGO.
Looking forward to seeing the helmet pics.

Welcome back! Your thigh looks pretty good. And remember, the great think about e-6000 is if you mess up you can pull the pieces apart, and the glue is not hard to remove.

Good to know you're still working on it.
