Hey guys,<br><br><br> Was wondering if anyone had a copy (PDF) of the ROX/FX. I'd like to change some settings on mine but can't find my set of instructions nor access the web site.<br><br><br> Edit -<br><br> Nevermind. Just figured it by trial and error.

No worries - I easily get confused You're right though Peter's seems to be more proportional. Not knocking on KBA's - after all its a prototype/WIP and as you inferred the pictures (angle) could be skewing the perceived proportions a bit.
-
I'm confused - I though this and the one Peter offered were two different batons.
-
Agree with others on the proportions. Any chance we could get a pic of this next to a forearm armor? It might help to figure out scale in conjunction with the pic Clint posted.

LadyInWhite Phasma Build
Vertex replied to LadyInWhite's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Awesome!!! -
I used PVC board. Do you mean the strap? Its what I'm currently thinking of using to attach to the armor. It's going to fold over and attach with either velcro or snaps to the yolk or another strap to which the top of the chest armor attaches - Hope that made sense. Once I get the length down I will cutting down the straps.

Even though I'm waiting for what I expect to be an aswesome pauldron from Mike I really wanted to have one for this weekend. So here's my attempt at making something to tie me over. I still need to do another coat of paint and I'm still working on how to attach it. It's base on a production still and some images from the hot toys figure. I posted some early pics in another thread but I think I'm at a point where I can share a little more.

I think I've already spent my sideshow budget for the next two years. This one will likely have to be one of those "maybe" -Eric Hahaha.. Good one. give him an hour and he'll post a pic of his new binoculars. i had actually pictured something like that a week or two ago. It was after I had seen a production photo of a stormy with the heavy weapons vest that also had the shoulder pouches so I figured that there was a chance the shoulder pouch could be seen in other setups. With that in mind I started on these last week. Very much a WIP.

Thanks for the info Chad. Looking forward to getting in on the DLT run.

TFA Trooper Battle/Riot Shield Interest?
Vertex replied to TK-Sonic's topic in Weapons of the First Order
Interested as well. -
Here's a teaser of one of the other things I'm working on.

I'm seriously considering making a resin kit available but it may be some time before I get to it. I've got a couple of other projects going, in addition to another costume build for a member of the household. So I've got one too many things up in the air. Also, I'd would likely want to wait till the movie is out cause I want to make sure what I have is accurate before taking people's money. However if someone **really** wants to have it now please PM me and I will make it available through Shapeways. I will place it without any markup but keep in mind that Shapeways is somewhat pricey and your are looking at about $210 (which is what I paid) for the parts.
-
Almost lost one on my last troop. Luckily someone picked it up. I would be in on one set for sure. (Maybe even two). If anyone has them available please let me know as well.
-
I know what you mean. I relied heavily on the reference available from the hot toys figure. So there's always a little concern as to its accuracy. I was lucky in that I was able to see the actual figure at there flagship store here in Tokyo. That's how I was able to pick up on some of the details on the bottom of the receiver. I'm still somewhat confident that I have a decent reproduction.

Another quick test fit of the muzzle. Overview of all the sections. Yet another quick test fit without the muzzle and rails. I still need to do a light sanding and paint before I can glue things in permanently.

Here the end cap which will serve as the battery compartment in a future upgrade. It just slides in and is held in by 2 pins.

Ok after playing around with the parts for this build here are some additional pics. As I mentioned in one of my previous post I had to break down the model to parts that were no longer than 10 cm due to Shapeways policy. The parts affected by this was the main body as well as the sights. Here's a pic of the 3 parts for the body glued together. This does present some seams that I'll have to fill in with some putty and sand down. Not a big issue though, The sight. A quick test fit before gluing.

Look what came in the mail today. I'm off to put this together.

Quick update. The printed parts are on its way. While I wait for them to arrive I picked up a second hand G17 at one of local airsoft shops. I'm hoping to have everything assemble by next week.

Posted this inquiry in the FB group but didn't have much success. I guess not being part of the elite inner circle doesn't help. As others I'm considering repainting my armor and would like to put on some new stickers after I'm done. I figure others like me that are looking into redoing the paint job have either looked into and potentially already sourced some stickers. If I was back in the states this would probably be as easy as just setting up a vector image and going down to the local kinko's to print. Unfortunately since I don't speak Japanese even the most simplest of tasks gets exponentially more complicated. Anyways I'm hoping someone here can assist.

I've had a couple of emails go to/from their CS. Still waiting to hear back on final call. Confidence is low right now but worse case I'll break the model into parts that are less than 10cm and then have them print it.
-
Hadn't considered that and as it so happens I got an email asking me to show how everything would look assembled. I should have probably broken it down to sub-parts. I provided them an image so let's see what they come back with.
-
Just a quick update. The printer I usually have access to is down so I've sent it out to be printed by a 3rd party (shapeways). I'm hoping to have the parts some time late next week.
-
Here's an update. I should be going to print tomorrow.
-
Well I've jumped on the bandwagon as well and figured I'd share my progress to date. I still need to do some tweaks but I'm about 90%+ there. As others I'm planning to print this and mount on an airsoft Glock. I hope to start the printing process by Tuesday or Wendsday. I drew a lot of reference from the pics for hot toys TIE pilot.
