  1. Looks like he's going to get that armour
  2. Studied computer science, joined the reserves (back then it was called the Territorial Army) when I graduated, and got a job working in the local Jaguar garage. After 3 years I quit and joined a large British broadcaster, and have worked my way through IT support to now building and supporting web servers. I still think back wistfully to the time when I got to drive the XKR on the test track before it was released, and fire AK47s on the firing ranges, but I wouldn't trade my E11 for any of it though, trooping with the UKG is living the dream.
  3. Yeah I followed the same one, think it is on Youtube, shame it hasn't been corrected You've done a fantastic job though, and this is very minor thing
  4. I'm 5'8", but tend to slouch a lot in my armour, otherwise I make the Lord Vaders look less scary ;-) Short troopers look good next to big scary Sith Lords
  5. Great job mate, looks excellent. You may find your TD sits nicer if you straighten the clips a bit, so it goes flat against your back. Not a clearance issue, just for comfort. Good luck, Rowan
  6. sharpie'd my startfitness trousers (waistband and logos), and it looks fine. Hopefully the sharpie won't wash out, will give it a try on the next troop
  7. Trooped in my start fitness ones at the weekend, and the stiching on the waistband was visible around my thigh plate, so have ordered the sportsdirect ones They might be ok if you have the top over the waistband of the bottoms, gonna try sharpie'ing it out, as the spray paint I tried washed off in the washing machine!
  8. Yup, gamertag for me too. Although back then we called them nicks. Gather round kids, he's telling the history of LAN gaming story.... At the turn of the century when the internet was still too slow for proper first person shooters, we used to hire a hall in Slough and lug our huge PCs and CRT monitors for a weekend of beer and Counter-Strike. The hall had been recently upgraded to 100mb network (!!), and had two 24 port switches, meaning we could fill the hall with profanity, the smell of pizza and gunfire. After several drunken weekends of being shot repeatedly in the head everytime I turned a corner, I realised that the guys that didn't die over and over as I did, were bunny-hopping as they turned corners, so that the snipers couldn't hit them. From then on, I bounced everywhere and quickly became known as Zebedee, after the Magic Roundabout character; a boy with a spring for legs.
  9. Thanks guys, did my first troop at the weekend, and it was AMAZING got the bug now :)
