Yea Kirk it looks just fine, and will function just fine also. Minor gaps are par for the course in this hobby. Remember, most armors only have the outer cover strip, the fact you have an inner as well just doubles the strength in the area. BTW, dremels are great for corners and such, but for long straight lines cut and snap is the only way to go. Keep up the great work

Looks good. Install inner cover strip, install another layer to bridge the gap between the left and right sides, paste or bondo the seems, sand, paint, center and install outer cover strip. Bam! should be done in 10minutes. JK

Install inner cover similar to what your are doing but actually use thicker material like cover strip, fill in the any level changes in the plastic with acetone paste or bondo, sand, paint, install outer 20mm cover strip.

Looking great Stein Suggestions: 1) Trim the corners of your cover strips a bit. 2) Move the bicep strap mounts up about 2-3". The blue area indicates where your bells will most likely sit. 3) A. Try moving your chest plate up a bit to gain cover strip coverage in your back plate or... B. Move your cover plate back a few rungs.

Your armor is probably 1-1.5mm the cover strip is probably 2mm

The low brow is ok where it's at if that's where he wants it. The helmets vary so much in the movies it isn't funny. Heck just look at the pic provided above, positioned on the eyes, or at least it appears from this angle. SWAT level Sandtroopers helmets are the only helmets where the brows are scrutinized. Don't get me wrong you can't just put it where you want it on a TK but as long as it looks remotely close Steve will roll with it.

Hey Kirk regarding the outer cover strips. I highly suggest using the actual cover strip material that came with your kit. It's twice as thick and stronger than using scrap cover strip material. You can always buy extra material from the AM mfg or trooperbay.com if you need it.

I wouldn't sweat it too much Michael. Your armor build is beautiful and there's no hurry to go and make repairs. Wait till Steve gets back. I only bring it up because he has in the past.

Exactly. EDIT: Unfortunate the placement of the ab snaps according to illustrations and RS reference pics are 1/4-1/2" different between the RS ab and AM ab. It doesn't help the AM belt is quite a bit wider than most also, all contributing to the belt riding high. As Michael mention there's no rule as to where the snaps have to be placed. The key is as long as the ammo belt is below the lowest ab button you should be golden.

Crap I forgot to include my drop boxes in the tutorial, I'll work on adding that to the belt section tonight. Sorry peeps.

Here ya go... EDIT: FYI Double and triple check your ammo and cloth belt measurements in relation to the ab buttons. The AM belt runs a bit on the wide and will cover your lower buttons if not offset.
