  1. I was thinking it would look cool when trooping HWT to occasionally stop and survey the surrounding terrain with a set of clean Electrobinoculars. Do any of you guys know where to get a cheap set pre-built? We are HWT's so the more stuff we carry the better we look!
  2. OK sir, looks great! I do not think you went overboard with the battle damage. It looks like you have been in a few firefights and looks spot on. The armor looks good to me and having trooped with you once and seen your work up close I know you are serious about representing the FISD with the best armor possible! After EIB I want to see you join Tony and the other Centurions at the highest level. Great work and good luck on the review!!!
  3. Good point. We will look into adding it for the official run. Thanks
  4. I am just waiting on the quote to come back from my patch guy. There will be a very limited first run without legion logos for all us HWT's and if there is a demand for more we will run it up the ladder with official logos. Remember it is a charity run so the cost is slightly elevated to help the little furry critters. Should have the green light next week and I will post the info.
  5. This is great to watch. Keep up the good work. I just picked up two of these on May the 4th at Disney World and I am planning on modding one of them. My buddy has a new 3D printer so we are going to keep a close eye on your build. Thanks and keep those pictures coming.
  6. I have to say it was a blast! Coming down from GA Garrison to troop with the Florida crew was nothing short of amazing. Disney treated us like rock stars and the fans were all wide eyes and smiles. I had a wonderful day and met some really great troopers. Shout out to Randy for all his hard work and looking forward to trooping in Sunny FL for SWW.
  7. I bought a resin TK helmet, some pilot air tube, and I am going to see if I can do a mock up of this new HWT. It just looks so cool!
  8. I think it looks good. Has a real battle worn feel to it. My only comments would be the bar codes on the tube caps could be painted over and the detail on the box above the cylinder looks a little rough cut but it may be the glare of the paint. Overall the look and feel is right on. Good job and good luck!!
  9. Joseph I have not gotten the FireTeam patch yet. I think Celebration and all the patch orders for the event bogged down all the patch makers. I wanted to see the FireTeam patch up close before I order the HWT patch. Either way I will probably end up ordering the HWT in about a week. Wish I would have them back in time for our Florida troop but I won't.
  10. You are 6' 6" so rather than tell you I added yours to this pack summary pick. Slightly different. Still a dang nice looking pack!
  11. Take it to the next level and go EIB! From the pics I am sure you can do it!
  12. Vern, I agree and made the modifications to mine based on comments you had made a while back regarding the HWT pack. You are right about the scale and thickness. The screengrabs show the troopers still wearing the thermal detonator which would put the pack way up on our backs and may look like we had a little school backpack. Maybe they are carrying their lunch in there? It is going to be tough to get the scale right. Even manutex's pack which is spot on will not allow a thermal detonator to be worn. The good news is the smaller we build them the lighter they get. Vern, Check this out. I closed the handle and added side detail. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30973-heavy-weapons-pack-modifications/
  13. When you look at the recent packs plus the screengrabs it all starts to blur....There are some really good builds here but each is a little different. I personally think that Manutex has hit closest to the mark as far as general size in relation to the screengrab but all of them look cool. I think the pack you asked about Eric has some shiny bits for buttons and knobs that do not translate well but hey what do I know, I'm colorblind.
  14. Sorry I missed this post. I added a thread about attaching to the pauldron. It worked great for me. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30925-attaching-the-pouch-to-pauldron/
  15. I am really wanting this to be our new base model...It may end up being some other specialized trooper but if it is HWT I am excited.....fingers crossed!
  16. Most of you veterans or Sandys probably already knew about the best way to wear your pouches or have an easy setup. This was my first experience with wearing the shoulder mounted ammo pouch and my first try was using the strap from the backpack. It was not easy to get on and rode uncomfortable against the armor. My solution was to rivit the ammo pouch directly to the pauldron so it "floats" in front of the armor allowing a better range of movement and it does not bind at all. Again most veterans probably knew this but if you are just building a HWT pack this method works great for me. It is so easy to take on and off and I don't even know it is there since it is filled with foam planks. Just a suggestion for you guys and girls.
  17. Joseph, I also based mine off the CRL but recently made some changes to better match the screen grabs. I added some new pics of my pack modifications in a new post. Check it out. Also we can talk about it in person in about a week and a half since we will be trooping together in Florida. Looking forward to meeting you fellow Heavy Weapons Trooper!!
  18. HWT's I made some changes to my HWT Pack. After looking at the screengrabs and all the material we have to base our packs on I decided to remove the antennae, close in the front of the handle, and add some side detail. I like the look of the antennae and it gives a cool profile to the pack when trooping but I wanted to try and get it closer to the game. Take a look and give me your thoughts. I hope the new BattleFronts has an awesome HWT we can build off of! Is this our new Heavy Weapons Trooper???? I hope so!
  19. Tony, I took an old costume shop rubies, tore it apart, drilled out the frown, cut out the bubble lenses and added internal lenses, and then rebuilt it adding two raisen jar lids that are bolted in. Check my TK build thread I think I threw in some pics.
  20. I love it! Very cool and good job sir.
  21. Tony, I am waiting till I have the Fireteam patch in hand before I pull the trigger on this run. Should be any day now the Fireteam was ordered weeks ago. I would say these patches will be out to production within about two weeks. Since I "donate" 100% of the production cost so all sales can go to the charity I want to make sure the product looks awesome! Awesome like my Heavy Weapons Mickey Trooper!!!!
  22. Have not sent it in for specs yet but the Fire team patch was of a similar shape and they recommended 5" x 5.5". Should be a good size patch. I'll post actual dimensions and pics when I get them in hand.
  23. Sure guys. I will let you all know as soon as they get back from production. I will not post the sale thread until I have them in hand. We did a similar run here in GA for our Fireteam Terminus with 100% going to an animal shelter. I ate the production cost on this one also. We do it for the cause. Bad guys doing good and all that stuff!!! Check out this sweet patch!!
  24. Hey HWT's, An artist here in my Georgia Garrison has designed a pretty cool patch for us Heavy Weapon Troopers. I am going to do a very limited run with no FISD or 501st logos attached for a local animal shelter charity. The run will be limited to 25 patches and I will offer them to you guys first. I am going to eat the whole cost of production, then sell them for about $15 with 100% going to the shelter. Pretty pricey but for a great cause. Details to come later and I will have a second version with the FISD and 501st logos that I will submitt to the Detachement and Garrison for approval and a large run if people are interested. This run will just be for the shelter and us. When they sell I will present the check to the shelter on behalf of the FISD and 501st even though it is an unofficial limited run. Here it is.
