  1. Why oh why cant Reggie (our self-proclaimed "Customer Supply Liaison") just give us another update on progress?? The lack of comms is killing me. It was June 5th (2 months ago) since his last update telling us that " Production was on schedule, and armour had been pulled and trimmed". Even if there has been a delay - just tell us.... please... Rant over.
  2. Nice painting on the nerf! What fabric did you use for the gasket? It's come out great. I thought I'd end up buying some gaskets (assuming that Anovos haven't improved their gaskets with the new armour?) but looking at yours I'm wondering if making might just be an option for me too...? Did you get the fabric locally (in NZ)?
  3. Hi Kenton. I can relate to being unable to resist the toy version. Before I started working on my 3D print version I got the original nerf gun and modded it with the guts of a toy blaster for sounds and barrrel flash, and added a white LED for the front torch and EL panels for the red lights on the sides. They can come up pretty reasonable with a bit of effort...
  4. I'm beginning to find my own lack of faith disturbing...
  5. This is a great idea - esp as 3D printing is just getting more and more popular. I hope Germain/5th Horseman is right at the top of the command staff's list for recipients of this award. His contributions are exceptional and I, along with many other members, have received huge benefit from his generosity.
  6. Thanks Germain. That is high praise indeed as I’m sure you’ve seen more of your builds than anyone. Thanks again for making your models available; they are such an amazing resource. It’s people like you that make the Legion what it is! Now back to the sanding on the F-11....
  7. There aren't many examples up of people having printed Germain's fantastic SE-44 so now that mine is 99% complete I thought I'd stick up a few pics of the finished product. I haven't attached the holster bolts or plate as I want to wait until I get my armour (Anovos will ship it one day... right? Only been waiting two years so far) and I've till got a small piece to glue on under the sight. Anyway - on to the pics. I didn't take many build progress pics (regretably) but suffice to say there was much sanding and filling and sanding and filling and sanding and filling.... you get the idea
  8. No update from Reggie yet. His email on April 30th said he’d be sending an update out to everyone that “next week”.... which would have been last week! Frustrating. I think I’d almost just prefer silence from Anovos instead of Reggie making repeated promises to keep us up to date and then not following through. I can live with production delays, they happen and are arguably difficult for Anovos to totally control - but communication - that’s easy and totally within their control. It’s the basics of customer service and would create a whole lot of good will and patience with us all. Unfortunately they just don’t seem to understand that. If I had to guess the odds on Anovos continuing to disappoint us with their communication I’d have to quote K-2SO “It’s high. Very high”.
  9. I'm not absolutely sure when orders opened? I have an Anovos newsletter with a pre-order link dated 4 June, 2016 - so I'm guessing that was it? I ordered mine on September 26th, 2016 (I cant believe it was that long ago but that's what my email says!)
  10. So I got tired of waiting for an update from Anovos and sent an email to Reggie via the Anovos Support email address. Copied below is my email and the reply from Reggie. Not lots of news - but it's something. I thought you might be interested too (I'm sure he wont mind me sharing). My email: Can you please forward this email to Reggie Scott Hi Reggie I am one of the many FOTK pre-order customers that have been waiting patiently for this order. I was grateful to receive your update email back in February where you made a commitment to personally ensure we were kept up to date an informed of the progress with this product. That was now nearly three months ago and the hoped for March 20th start date for shipments is now long gone and we have heard nothing. Can you please honour your commitment and arrange for an update to be sent out? I understand delays occur and I am continuing to wait as I’m excited about the final product Thank you Reggie's reply: Hello Mark,I will be sending out an update on these items next week, but here is an update per your request:All of the First Order Stormtrooper Kits remain on track to begin shipping to customers this Spring and continue to ship through Summer, and they will ship in the order they were placed. These items have completed all of the necessary reviews and testing, the packaging has been approved and they are in production. When these kits arrive to our Fulfillment center, you will receive a 'Shipping Soon' notification via email. Fingers crossed...
  11. Hi Kenton. I have just this week bought a bunch of screws locally (I'm down in Wellington) and last night ordered a whole pile more online from overseas. Some of the min quantities I had to order mean I''ll definitely have some spares that you're welcome to. PM me either through here our on the Outpost42 forum and we can talk some more? Troopers helping troopers!
  12. Wow! That was quick. Just read the newsletter and headed over to make a donation.. and wham... target reached before I got there. We all get so much from the FISD and its awesome to see all our fellow troopers recognising that with some of their hard earned dollars. Makes me proud(er) to be a TK!
