That's really wierd. That photo does make it look like its cross-head - it must be the light as they are definitely all slotted. (edit: looking at this some more I wonder if I accidentally uploaded an old photo of my very first screws? Hi all I'm working on electronics for my 3D printed F-11D and my google-powers appear to be low as I cant find appropriate sound files anywhere. Does anyone have some files they'd be willing to share, or point me to somewhere I can find them? Thanks

Oh. Maybe I mis-read their September 21 email? When they said they were 'pushing the first wave of delivery one more season' I assumed that meant 'one more season' from their previous update (on June 5th) which had promised shipping to be Spring through Summer 2018 (March 20 - September 21, 2018)? So I'd assumed that 'one more season' meant Fall 2018 (ending Dec 21)? Do you think maybe they meant one more season after the the season in which their email was sent? You could be right but that's pretty sneaky - as it's really a TWO season delay from their previous update. Either way - there's no armour been shipped - and even as I type this (as self-therapy) I realise - it doesn't really matter WHAT Anovos say, or how I interpret it... their emails have no bearing on when we'll actually receive anything... Just would've been a nice Christmas present to hear that they'd actually met their (most recent) promise and started shipping... On a more cheery note - I hope everyone checking in on this thread has a very Merry Christmas, and that there is much Star Wars in your stockings and under your trees. MTFBWY.

So the 21st has been and gone... I must just be further down the list which is why I didn't receive my shipping notification from Anovos... right? Surely lots of other members here have got their notification..? right? Anovos wouldn't miss yet another deadline promise without saying anything again... right? Hmmm...

Thanks Dan. I did wonder if the 'old' Anovos hovi tip mesh would get through, and I had thought I'd used flat enough pan head screws (guess I bought the wrong ones!). I'll work on those and get some updated pics loaded, along with pics showing the thigh ammo pack. Thanks again

To be honest - a friend of mine printed this for me and removed the inserts before I got it... So I'm not sure. You could try drilling through the centre of the support to then get some leverage to twist the rest out?

I think I'm beginning to understand what a crack addict must feel like... I cant help myself from checking this thread every day 'just in case' someone has news.... And while I think about it: Ukswrath - are you on the order list and are you planning on doing a build thread? I'm hoping so as my first ever armour build was the Anovos ANH TK and your build thread was a god send! I'm sure there are many more like me spread around the world quietly hoping to learn more from your generosity.

So I'm coming towards the end of many (many) hours of sanding a print of Germain's awesome F-11D and am working on the electronics. I'm looking at how to light the red panels in the magazine and hengstler counter. One mystery is how the Lucasfilm wizards manage to make red 'star wars' lights appear as a single, solid red panel - and not have the appearance of a bright LED that is visible behind a red panel? I've tried a number of 'diffusing' plastic sheets to try and make this work, and they still show the single bright light source inside the cavity and not a solid bright panel as in the movies. Can people share what they've done (if they've bothered to avoid the problem I'm looking at)? I've tried EL Sheets on an earlier Nerf conversion - and while they provide the solid block of red light I'm looking for, they don't have the brightness. I've heard about using glue sticks? But not sure exactly how that works? There must some solutions to this... Thanks

As frustrated as I am, I have no doubt that Anovos will deliver.. eventually. I don't believe they are corrupt, or lacking integrity (not that you are suggesting that IM778). I do believe they want to deliver their product despite the challenges they are having. What astounds me is the lack of communication. I have never, ever, encountered a company that is SO terrible at communication - whilst at the same time purporting to have customer supply liaison staff (I'm looking at you Reggie) who job is apparently to, and I quote :be vigilant and continue to monitor the progress of this production run and update you if any new details arise" ... Despite the support desk saying an update would be received by the end of August and us hearing nothing (did you all see that tumble week roll past my window..) it is now 5 days until they are at the end of the shipping quarter for this item. So one way or another I am confidant we will hear something very, very soon. The optimist in me hopes that it will be another forum member advising they have received their BBB.... by the realist in my says Reggie will appear in his 'helpful' manner as usual apologising for another delay... I wish/hope Anovos would subscribe to FISD and read our posts (and if their is an Anovos lurker out there reading this - please, please just communicate). In the mean time I'm heading back to do some more work on my F-11 from the 5th Horseman...

I want to be optimistic... I really do....

The Anovos armour is meant to come with pouches and I’m still holding out that it will ship eventually, so there may be another local trooper who could use these more than me? (If the anovos pouches are junk, or delays continue to the point where I eventually feel I have to jUmp suppliers I might try my luck and come back to you...). Thanks again.

It's looking awesome Kenton. Great idea about connecting the holster through to the garter to reduce the weight of the weapon being carried by the armour itself. I'll use that when (if) I get my Anovos delivery....

If they cant even schedule the release of a letter with any accuracy it does not bode well for our armour... And things being "fluid" does not sound like we're about to get confirmation of imminent shipping... Sigh

It does seem eerily similar doesn't it? I've got a bad feeling about this... And that last paragraph about his goal to keep "each and every one of his customers" up to date is precisely what he said months ago to us - and if that's his goal - he is failing miserably!

I couldn't help myself and reached out to Anovos for any kind of update on delivery... Here's what I sent: Hi. I have an old order for the First Order Stormtrooper Standard kit (full armour kit - not just the helmet) from back in 2016. Can you please check in with Reggie to see if there is any kind of update he can give me? The previous update said "The kits are going to begin shipping in the Spring Season before June 20th and continue shipping through the Summer Season until September 21st"? Given that nothing shipped in Spring and we're now officially 2 months into the 3-month Summer shipping window with no update - I'm really eager for any kind of update (even it it's to put me out of my misery and tell me there is another delay - just so I know something). I've been waiting nearly two years already so I'm willing to wait - it's just the lack of any communications that is killing me. Any help you can get would be really appreciated. Thanks And here's their reply: Hello, Thank you for your extreme patience, we are sending out an update this week i'm told about everything. That will contain info they have yet to tell me. So again I thank you for your patience while we get that to you! Have a wonderful day. ......................... Thanks Ensi. This is awesome. I really appreciate you putting in so much detail. I'm almost at the end of several thousand hours of filling and sanding on mine and getting ready to do the electronics and painting. A couple of questions if you would? 1. How did you mount the magnet in the front handle? 2. When you painted your muzzle - did you paint the white first and try to mask that off before painting the black, or did you do the reverse? I've been puzzling that in my head (as its the only piece that isn't split into different colours already, and I'm thinking of masking lines/bleed)... Thanks again for a great thread.
