Thanks Germain, I have thought about the bucket of hot water bending thing, as i will be doing this to curve my belt and knee pack. well if its crooked, it's crooked, but it is still a struggle to even get the edges to line up with the ridges of the shin.

I am becoming more convinced, I have the shins back to front, as this damn sniper plate will not sit straight on the shin I think is the left, but it fits better on what I thought was the right. It sits crooked and off centre. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Got cracking on the Thermal det today, all parts trimmed to as accurate size as possible. Also tried my hand at making the Det clips, were a little time consuming to tweak but not too difficult to bend up. thank goodness for the FISD help tips.

Slowly getting parts assembled. Biceps now glued. Had a look at the sniper plate attachment to the shin, very difficult to line up I must say, and not exactly sure how much to trim out of the back of the plate to get it fitting right..

Trimmed the cover strips a little on forearms

I have a bicep question. Do I line up the bottoms and leave the tops uneven, as the cover strips will cover the height difference ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Try and keep the return edge as it makes the armour look thicker than it is. How do they fit as they are in your images. They need to be comfy, so if you flex your bicep it should touch the side, but you don't want them too loose. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have cut 25mm, but recon I could get away with 20mm, in saying that, the extra surface area for the Velcro on back of the shins would be better. Thigh and shin/calf area would look better from rear at the same size.

It would be good to keep all dimples for accuracy. My AP only has 11 per sides as L and R are duplicates in their armour. As far as where the wrist finishes on you arm, first you need to look at the gap between bicep piece and top of fore arm. You need minimal gap at that end, and still be able to bend your arm. (Screen accurate has very small gap). The gap between your wrist and hand guard doesn't matter. If your forearms are too long for you, trim the wrist end leaving all dimples, but entirely removing the return edge. Think I worked out the thighs, rough tape job at the mo.

The next topic. How do I work out which part is which and L or R on the AP thighs?

Thanks Vern. I did follow screen shots of the helmets, so i will leave the small amount of Flashing there. Just to clarify what you mean by the "cover strip following the angles at the elbow"? do you mean i can trim the top of the cover strip at a slight angle to follow the line of the forearm behind piece behind it? or simply cut them a little shorter. These babies are put together with Zappa gap, so not coming apart easily. I appreciate your input.

Moved back onto the fore arms, and was itching to get something else assembled, so here they are. No return edge on front. Might as well build towards centurion, even though I don't want to cut the section out of the kidney plate, as it will be in the wrong position so I don't see the point.

Thanks Aaron I did want to continue with the weathering, and almost started rubbing back some of the barel to expose the steel colour of the Hammer coat, but then thought twice as it should occur through Trooping anyways.

That's what I was thinking, but mark from AP just got back to me as i sent him the same pic and says it is correct. I am know very confused, thank you for your input Germain.

OK, all you AP Stunt gurus out there. Do these look like the correct halves are together, photo is as you are looking at a trooper, i have put Land R under them. Mark from AP did send me a photo of the parts laid out and mentions one piece has a raised detail, which I have assumed is the ridge that runs down the front (the part you trim for size)
