  1. Beautiful. Is the material behind the pill boxes not gaffers tape as well?
  2. How's this for the chest piece placement? I'm ready to glue. Is it better that some of it be slightly above the rest of the chest (and filled/smoothed out) or for it to be recessed enough so no part of the resin piece is sticking up past the chest piece and fill the gaps?
  3. Did you use a particular needle to sew these? My wife hasn't ever sewn anything like this before and she's nervous about trying. Thanks!
  4. Let us know for sure if she does a run. I wasn't kidding about her taking orders!
  5. No doubt! I'm using this thread as my bible, I don't make a move unless ukswrath has. I'm ready to work out the strapping.
  6. My build is coming along, need to be ready to paint by 12/1 so I took the day off from work on Monday to glue. Everything went pretty well, it was my first time with Devcon so I did have a couple of freak out moments. But, I ran out with my chest upgrade and gauntlet boxes left. So I ordered more, should arrive early next week. I still need to rework my biceps a bit, one is really odd shaped. I figured what I'd do is go ahead and glue even though it stresses the plastic a bit, then put them in a warm water bath to relax them into shape. Hopefully it will work.
  7. So beautiful. Was it tough to get the helmet taped up for painting?
  8. From the new images I'm most interested in the spats. Looks like they are attached to the shins.
  9. When will you start accepting orders!?!
  10. I received a Royal Mail tracking number this morning for my suit.
  11. I'm planning on getting some snaps for this and my upcoming OT TK build. How do these look? 50 - (5 packs) Black plate Line 24 snaps, 5/16 post - FREE SHIPPING! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IICMVWM/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_rA.swb9S9XB45
  12. I ordered one, a large. Hope it's not too big but I figure it will be easy enough to resell if it doesn't fit. $102 shipped.
  13. I'm planning on glueing this weekend, and pretty much scared to death. I did a final test fit tonight to make sure everything is good to go and had a couple questions. 1. On the ab and kidney sections, on the right side (box 1) currently it doesn't sit flush. Should I sand down the marked areas so the entire side is flush or should I glue it with the box area raised like it is currently? 2. Did anyone have to heat and reform their biceps? Mine aren't quite fitting together right, it stresses the plastic a bit to make both sides meet. Thanks!
  14. What was the reason for previously attaching the bolts with E6000? Edit- I see that the E6000 gluing was to paint and you planned to replace the bolts with a permanent attachment after confirming the fit was correct after painting. What confused me was that it looks like you went ahead and replaced the E6000 connection with Devcon before the paint job so I wasn't sure about the extra step with the E6000.
  15. I really want to trim the pill boxes in my armor, not just for better accuracy but because I think it looks a lot better. So I drew some pill boxes and tested with my rotary tool. The results were less than encouraging. I don't see how you guys do it.
  16. Yes, looks like they're in this thread after all. I must be going mad, I could have sworn they were in a separate thread.
  17. Can you point me to your upgrade thread for the costume? I feel like an idiot but I can't find it anywhere.
  18. Yikes. I'm in the same boat but was trying to do a temp solution that would be easier to replace when the new gear arrives.
  19. Question about your holster: did you Devcon your resin one to the mount? How do you plan on replacing it with the metal upgrade one?
  20. I wasn't entirely clear in my post, the width is actually fine but the length is the problem. I'm holding the 10M piece off center from the raised area in the first pic, but the 10M piece is too short for the raised area. That's not what other people are seeing on their builds?
