  12. Thank you Diana and Scott. I'm going to take a break. I have to take care of home stuff and work this week.
  13. Germain...I will be working on that left forearm again tonight.
  14. Thank you Greg! I hope you finish your NE armor too. You're build is coming along nicely.
  15. Thank you Steve! I'm so happy I got them done and fit so well now. For almost a year the thighs have given me problems. After many many tests and changes, I was able to understand the proper assembly and comfort while walking and putting them by myself. I really have to thank Diana and Jojo for helping me out. Thighs were my greatest challenge because I had to use what I had. I was afraid of making mistakes ruining them. There were times I wish I had a fresh set so I could start over. But it definitely paid off. Thanks again Steve for cheering me on!!!
  16. Time to spray paint! I found the perfect can to match my NE armor. I'm using Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover Primer & Paint (Glossy White). I bought this from my local Home Depot. I did a test sample on some scrap ABS and it was a perfect match. This is the finished look (only two coats right now). I will be doing five coats total. Its so hard to tell that the shims are there unless you get real real real close That's my update for now. Time to clean up my wife's dining room .... I mean my work space (hahahhahahh!). Let me know what you guys think. I'm 90% done now and I can almost see the finish line! Good night FISD!!!
  17. Before painting the thighs, I decided to put on the cover strips and paint them. The cover strips won't stick well on a finish gloss.
  18. Using a drywall sanding block to get that smooth finish and blend in the shims to the thighs. Done! Take your time and do your best to smooth it out.
  19. Its time to sand it down. Do this process outside because its messy and creates a lot of dust. Wear gloves. Here are my recommended tools and mask. I started to scrap off the excess Apoxie Sculpt. After getting all the heavy excess off, I used plumbers sanding tape to get the roughness out.
  20. Sorry I didn't take pictures on how I applied the Apoxie Sculpt to the thighs. This stuff is very very very sticky and it took about an hour for me apply it. I allowed it dry for 24 hours. Here's the finished look.
  21. Creating the compound. Follow the manufacturer's instructions using 50/50 and mixing it together (use gloves when mixing the two together...this stuff gets sticky). I didn't use all of it. I only needed a "jaw breaker gum ball" size.
  22. I didn't want to use ABS paste this time. Instead, I found Apoxie Sculpt on Amazon. I wanted to work with a special sealer that wouldn't dry so fast and allow me apply it like joint compound. The idea is similar to drywall tapering or working with automotive bondo. Since i've done so much drywall installation in the past, this was going to be easy. After it sets and dries overnight, I will sand it out and give it a smooth finish.
