Nothing should be spec ops except imperials. Mando mercs are not imperials. They are hired guns. Bh. Death watch are not denizens. Flagship eclipse maybe. But not spec ops. The mandos in rebels who are working for the imperials are attached to, seconded to, or paid by an imperial unit. Still Bh with open ended contracts.

The right side of the ab kidney has a large gap, and the right side doesn't but the rivets dont line up.

Stir the bejeebus out of the paint. Like five minutes. Enamels are horrid for that.

Check their member profiles and see where they are. Tkarmour is British I think. Claim to be their own sculpts.

Shim the backs so the front design features are still perfect. If you have to shim front and back then you'll have to scuplt a bit. Sadly shims means seam work and paint.

I thought that was the forearms...You can order two right biceps from ATA since the right is much bigger than the left.

Parenting done right.

Hey don't fret...I said it looked ' off' to me, not wrong ;-). I've never seen tube stripes end mid cheek is all.
I guess on tiny screen it look like a bigger space is all.

Only thing that looks...off...well two, is the amount of black showing between butt and kidney...and the tube stripes ending well before the ears...like they're ...too small or too closely spaced. Rest looks good to go.

Yeah...just lower the chest an inch.Fit question. After a quick torso fit I found that the helmet came up against the top of the chest piece with very little play. This leads to restricted forward vision and is a bit annoying. Is this normal? I may just have a short neck. I also think the back and chest pieces are a bit high as the bottom of the suit sits on my hips and is difficult to pull down over them. I don't know how much help trimming the cod and kidney would be. It might be better to take some off the bottom of the cod where it meets my hip bone so I can pull the whole thing down a bit. Anyone have this issue? I realize I have to trim the butt piece and may add another set of straps to it to prevent it pivoting. I also haven't finished the snap strap between the cod and the butt, so that may help bring it in a little.

One is supposed to be larger. Accuracy. After many kettle loads and much gnashing of teeth here's the outcome. They don't look that different than before, but the left wrist opening is a bit better and I can slide the right bicep over my forearm easier now. I was hoping for a lot more roundness from the openings, but I would need to tackle the problem on a different scale I think. Once I have the body together and sitting right, I'll attack the shoulders and finish the arms fully.

See I'm afraid that when I destroy the gloves I'll have to turn them and the latex guards into death troopers. And I wear my nomex all the time in public :-)

Yeah...duck that.
What part of Ontario are you in?

Our Kylo hides the kr voice changer in the scarf. Sounds great. I'd think anything in the helm would sound...squirrelly.

Easy. The officer isn't going to run into combat ripping his pack off. Strap under. The tanks are going to run into combat ripping their packs off using quick release straps. Strap over. One thing I dont get is why some of the troopers have the strap OVER their pauldron...makes no sense

Well, if you mix and match abs you will have to paint. And Bondo. And if at the end of the day it fits you all over the 501st will welcome it. And you'll get to brag about how much work it was and how awesome it looks.
There are better armours for bigger troopers. Am 2.0, rt-mod. Might still need an inch or two but not near as much.
If you can sell the anovos and upgrade a kit for yourself you may be happier in the end.

Nomex flight gloves. Won't be plain. Latex won't glue to them. You could glue Velcro to the latex and sew Velcro to the nomex. Or e6000 Velcro to the nomex.I keep searching for nomex glove brands for a little less hand heat while in the armor and can't find just a simple black pair.. So I was wondering what everyone else is using and do the latex hand plates glue well to them?
Thanks
Mike

Or just keep the latex on rubber gloves for indoor or cooler troops. Nomex and plastic for outdoors.

Elbow grease. You need to sand between coats anyway, this will just make his bucket shine more.

Link? Nothing is 501st approved. Or retired. Unless it's sold or the owner doesn't troop in a year. I'd ask his height and weight and his tk id.

Elmer's super glue. Black bottle with red sides.
-
What glue did you use? E6000 is the safest, but you need to glue, tape in place, then clamp. Its also easy to clean glue that slips out after dry.
Crazy glue, zapagap, is fast, strong, and more unforgiving if you goof.
Abs cement is also fast, strong, and permanent.

Right handed ? Those hand plates aren't stunt?

It's injection mold plastic. Chinese knockoff. At least it's an American site. Anybody local ?

Tk is the letter code for a stormtrooper. Esb is empire strikes back. Anh is a new hope, rotj is return of the Jedi.
Is Anovos worth the wait?
in Hard Armor (General Discussion)

There's no actual comparison between the upcoming tfa kits and the Greek letter versions. Anovos won't need paint, is supposed to not need Bondo or seam work beyond normal tk suits, and like their anh suit is only going to fit average bodied people. I see...not average bodied people buy them and then complain they can't complete the build in a cosmetically appealing way. All that said yes. Wait. Or spend double, spend ten times the hours on the build, three times the cost or more for supplies, and get it done sooner.
Anovos was bang on their anh kits first delivery.
