Yo.
I'm 47. Centurion.
Consider the gauntlet thrown, Sirrah. ;-)
-
They don't allow discounts on payment plans for sure. Black Friday is coming :-)
-
There's twice as much plastic in a fotk.I'm out of this one too, the shipping and taxes wiill probably come to more than the $675 the kits costs which I just cannot support going forwards. The OT TK was only $130 shipping so not sure how it's suddenly 3.5x more expensive for what must be a similar size and weight box.

The white elastic around the bridge will help . Shoulder bells and biceps don't weigh much...it sounds more like the front to back strapping needs to be more secure all the way on the surface of the chest and back do it can't move outwards. You used webbing not elastic right? Glue it down as far as it goes without glueing to the bridge and slide the white elastic up almost flush. Tighten the elastic if its too loose.

What he said. Do the black first then the grey after. Pinstripe tape helps too.

I still dont understand but that's OK. My shoulders are held on with nylon and glue biceps glued to that. Forearms glued to them. All goes on like hockey pass and I've got lots of motion. Elastic would just ...fall.

Well, it's not a logo.

And yet the picture you use for five bars on chest reference has the white strap, and the pic showing no white strap doesn't have five bars on the chest.Dude ... truely said for me is the hole Diskussion about the white strap nonsense...

some ESB TKs has them some not ... like for example the one in the carbo chamber

im pissed enough of cutting some of my shins.
If you're making a specific trooper that's great. Make a specific trooper at basic approval. If you want the advanced tactics badges which are obviously put together from the best facets of the troopers in a given episode, then build a suit to those specifications. Saying your just doing something to collect a badge then removing it to suit your personal preferences...well is a waste of the DOS time, a disservice to people who've earned the badge and are proud of it, and make me just disinterested in your build anymore. Too bad. Good esb suits are nice to see. The other costumes you have are just Laurels. Don't rest on them.

Upload pics to photo bucket then put links here. Or link the listing.
But if you have to ask if it was worth it......
-
Admin will add it once you're in the database. When do I get the centurion badge on the side under my name ?

I would ask whomever is doing the vac metal work if they do the surface finishing. If so, let them do it so they have to redo it if there's a problem. Otherwise ask them how they want it brought in.
But yes you'll have to do the seams and structural work. I'd make sure they see a picture of the kit as well as desired final look in case that they want things in specific parts or layers.

Maybe. But I've seen too many builds where Bondo and glazing putty are structural...then All crack to bejebus. Apoxie sculpt, glue, proper finishing so things just fit are all better than Bondo.
-
Since you have to Paint it start with 400 and just go bigger numbers till you are wet sanding with 2000. Phasma needs to be a mirror or it looks awful. If you are having it professionally chromed...just pay them to do the surface work.
-
Is it finished? Did it look ok in the ads pictures? Was it really cheap?
-
Blink. How much offline gameplay is there?
-
Hit it with 800 grit, then glazing putty. Let dry. Rub surface with thumb or thumb part of palm. Re putty. Let dry. Light 800 grit. Holes should vanish.

Armored cavalry. Hit up the main 501st.com website and find the detachment lists, ACD has the drivers for most imperial vehicles except tie pilots.Hi Jim,
thanks for your answer.
Can you please tell me what do you mean with ACD(etachment).
Sorry but I don't now.
Cheers

Buy a smaller back from someone who needs a wider one.

No rivets are level 3 I thought they were basic approval. Mines always had them.Well the CLR for level 2 don't mention the rivets at all.
"For level two certification (if applicable):
Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide.
Any shims used to achieve this effect are of a similar material and color as the abdomen and kidney armor. Shims fit flush and seams are allowed."
But I agree with you: the DO's have the last word here!
Shoulder bells do need the black elastic that goes around the biceps though. That is base approval. Lots of gmls miss it.
-
I'm trying to imagine how the helmet sits on your shoulders. The shoulder strips sit on your collarbone and shoulders, yes? Not sitting above them somehow?
Tilting it forward is just going to prevent looking left and right.
-
If the armour didn't come with it the notch is no longer required. The crl hasn't been updated yet.so I'm thinking after seeing a few more pictures the line in the center is where I should cut. 22mm square and not worry about meeting the top ridge. It's hidden by the belt after all but I'll be shooting for EIB and later centurion

Each application is separate and sometimes is reviewed by a different set of DO eyes. That's why some nice folks made all those checklists. It also helps prevent people from borrowing a proper blaster for EI and not having one for Centurion. And since a Hasbro modded blaster is OK for EI and not for Centurion all pics of the sterling based blaster should be new.
That's why there's a note at the bottom of the picture list that says if crl items aren't clearly visible more pics may be asked for. Just helps approvals progress more quickly. The d ring isn't on the ei list I used either. And in my case my centurion blaster isn't the one I had for ei.
