  1. I think at this point, I am going to start my build on a Animated TK. Once its finished, I will wear it to every event until we have an answer on Jes
  2. In my own way of passive protest, I have changed my profile pic to the statue of Jes! On that note, Kevin I agree 100% with what you said. Let the ladies have fun. Val got to wear hers this past weekend and just loved it. Although her approved 501st kit is one of your Bo kits, I think this one will get more use.
  3. Right here is why I think we should have some idea on what needs to be done. What if you fill all your seams, and they later come out to say something like "The thighs need to be replaced because of the raised line." Your out your thighs front and back, as well as the the little parts the knee straps come out of, AND your time. If we knew what they are talking about in modifications, then we would know not to put the work into a specific part...
  4. Here is the post Legion Command Minutes from the meeting at the start of October that read "Jes Gistang (female Legacy Stormtrooper) Kit that recently became available requires modifications in order to be accepted. First amended applicant is currently under review. " I will say it again. It sure would be nice to know what modifications they are talking about. As Michael said, there are around 60 sets of this armor out there. Assuming even 50 of them are going to try for approval, it would really help them all out to know what has to happen. I will also say that I have completely stopped our build until we know what they are.....
  5. In the minutes from the last legion command meeting they mentioned that kevs kit might need modifications before its approved. It sure would be nice to know what needs to be done so we all can apply it to our builds.....
  6. We got ours at Tandy Leather. Forgot what they are called though
  7. Please let me know how that turns out. I am now worried about Vals
  8. What size boots did you order from him?
  9. I see Val's helmet hehe. I assume its the bigger box
  10. I am 90% sure that Hydra, the girl in the pictures from dragon con, has no interest in submitting her kit to the 501st.
  11. Any news on approval yet?
  12. I know Val is planning on taking hers, and I bet she would be good to go for this
  13. Check, ill work on that this saturday Thanks
  14. She says she is fine with that return edge. I am worried she is just say thing that to not be a pain or something. We just threw everthing on for a quick photo. Should have better ones soon
  15. Forgot pics in the last post
  16. Yea Val likes the idea of taller shoes. WIth her higher heels and a helmet she is about my height out of costume. We will see what ones work best We made some small progress this weekend. Didnt get as much done as I wanted as I had to assemble 2 scout helmets for a friend and one for Val. And for fun, I put my MC helmet on. I think it wouldnt be to bad if she had her shoulder bells, but alas very bobble head like.... Still fun though! I will most likely have her finished up soon. I have a few problem spots I need to figure out. As seen in the pictures, the back of her shins do not close all the way. The left one will close with velcro but the right... I am not sure at all. Still have to mount the shoulder straps and figure out about the shoulders them selves. Oh well, the joys of a new kit
  17. I am a GWL so I have access to the GWL/GML sub forum on the 501st boards. I have not seen any discussion yet.
  18. We just taped the belt on for this picture. But yes its not where it needs to be. We have assembled all the parts except the knee straps. I also need to make some straps for the shoulder bells. After that I think we are going to see about a full test fit!
  19. I am not bashful with this. I personally make quite a bit of clothing and costumes for ladies including corsets and sometimes topics come up. She is a 38 C border with a D. If Val is wearing a standard bra then yes she does have a problem. We ran into this issue with her Bo-Katan costume as well. We were able to find a better push up bra that has really helped. For this armor, she will also use a comfortable underbust corset. With that, everything fits pretty good. I need to take out some of the curve of the shoulder straps for it to be 100% were I want it, but its not bad. We will be working on this Sunday (have to go and be in a costume panel and be at a wedding tomorrow), so I will do what I can to get more pictures. I tend to forget taking pictures when I am working One more note. The chest does not fir good unless you have the ab plate on. I believe its because the ab plate pushes on your bust line in the same way a underbust corset works. Just an observation from Val I guess we are
