  1. What kind of glue would you suggest? I’ve tried super glue but it doesn’t stick to the silicon and rubber gloves very well.
  2. Proper rubber gloves with silicon hand guards
  3. Yea I realized that it was a little thick but that’s all the hardware store had. It was exactly the width I needed all I had to do is cut it to length shape it and drill the holes. If it’s a real issue I can always fill the holes in the old clips with JB weld and drill new ones, but these really came out nice I’m really happy with the way they look.
  4. I used the photos you provided and eyeballed it. It actually is coming along pretty good. I made new brackets and moved the screws up towards the ends like you suggested and I’m working with the panel on the TD and I’m almost finished with that. Had to go to the hardware store to pick up the aluminum stock for the brackets and I kinda made my way around the store just looking at stuff in case I could use something, that took up a few hrs. But I managed to get a little work done. painted the screws black
  5. Ok cool I just wanted to make sure I had the right size. So it’s more of a rough estimate as long as it’s close to the photo?
  6. Glen, what are the dimensions of this piece?
  7. Yea it blends better in person than in a photo but I might just try what you did I like that. How did you get the taper right? It looks like it’s part of the abs.
  8. Oh man!!! Yea I understand, I am self isolating before my surgery so I have a lot of time on my hands. I decided to go for my upgrades, I’ve been wanting to do it but just never made the time now time is all I have so I might as well make good use of it. Thank you for your build thread that is awesome! I love what you did with you 5 button panel, I never thought of doing it that way. I cut out plastic and just made a box under the panel it looks good but it catches my chest plate causing it to not come down where it normally will sit. Is that what you were referring to? I didn’t h see stand what you mean about my ab.
  9. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me, I really didn’t mean to come off as a jerk before, I was just confused with some of the things that were being asked for. You did a very good job clearing them up I do really appreciate your time. I don’t know if you saw but I fixed the closure in the back, that had bothered me for awhile but I never took the time to fix it. I’m home now till next February I’m having wrist surgery so I have plenty of time to start tweaking my armor and getting it where I want it to be. I just finished rewiring my fans and I added a wireless mic, I’m sure you saw the inside of my bucket lol. I’m a little obsessed with pimping the inside of my buckets lol
  10. I fixed the rear closer now it faces the inner leg. Is this better on the sniper plate? I’m having a terrible time getting it to lay perfectly flat. As much as move it around and adjust the position and I push and bend it, it still has a small gap in the front. Any suggestions? I also trimmed up the edges like you pointed out. I’m afraid that this is the best I’ll get, if this holds me up then I’ll just move along cause that’s the closest I’m gonna get. I’m posting all the adjustments here as I make them then I’ll put on the kit and retake the photos.
  11. Oh thank you for those photos that makes way more sense to me being able to see what you’re talking about ok! I am working on the readjustments now. Thank you again for all yours help!
  12. Correct gloves are pictured above with silicon hand guards. The pics taken outside were a test fitting with other gloves. I’ll add these here to show. For the belt and drop boxes could you provide photo example? Not sure what you mean. I went exactly by the reference photo in the CRL. Also in the photo it shows the buttons you stated that need to be moved over are exactly where I have them. I’m not arguing and I’ll gladly make the changes but photos should be updated to show exactly what is expected especially since what is expected is strict. Sometime the description is confusing without a reference photo to look at. Again I’m not complaining or arguing I’m just making a suggestion to help us troopers that understand photos better than written guidelines. I also tried to look up other submission photos for the TKC and had a very hard time finding them. Repositioned drop boxes and moved the buttons out towards the ends. Also there are the 8 rivets 4 on each side just in case you couldn’t see them very well. White on white is hard to see. On the close up of the drop boxes you can see the rivets I tried to do a one and done photo showing all the revisions, the rivets, the repositioned drop boxes and buttons. My ab and crotch is one big piece, no seam. Do you mean where my belt lines up? I can adjust the belt up and retake the photo, but again, kind of a vague suggestion as to what you mean. In this photo the belt and ab is in the proper location and lays flat. For the shins it does not state the closer needs to face inside, except if it’s AM armor then it reads “ the AM greaves (shins) shall be on the proper legs, with with a new cover strip. The cover strip edge shall be facing the inside of the leg. Note: There is a manufacturer defect with the AM greaves (shins) that may cause you to wear them improperly. Please see the tutorial titled : “AM armor shins: the proper way to assemble and wear”. on the whitearmor.net.” I checked and rechecked the wording, if you require the seams to face inside then it should be clearly written that ALL shin seams face inward, over lap seam, and cover strip seam. I understand it looks better and I am remaking my left shin to correct that as we speak but again it’s not written in the CRL that way. Please understand I am in no way trying to come off like a jerk I want to fully understand what I need to fix but I’m the type of person that understands it better if I have photos to reference along with the written description. Some of the CRL the way it’s written is confusing. And the TKC is not the same as a TK so I had to do some digging to make sure I built it correctly. Mostly I followed the CRL pictures at least what I could see. Also I had a question on the Centurion level. On the ammo belt that goes on the right thigh it says the ammo belt is on the top of the lower ridge has square corners and glued in place no rivets. Do you have any reference photos that I could see? I want to make sure I understand what is being asked. Also the rivet positions on the kidney plate and ab plate. I’m a little confused as what it should look like, it’s asking for a total of 4 rivets 2 on each side. Is that on both the left and right side or just the right? And what are the positions. I know I sound ignorant asking these questions but like I said it makes more sense for me to see what’s being asked rather than just reading g about it.

  15. I’m a bit confused, I thought I did submit a link here. I tried to make a request on the EIB request form but there isn’t an option to post a request that’s why I’ve posted here to get permission to post there.

  17. I'm looking at getting a TK, I currently am a specialist TX from RS. I am wondering if I should go with a PVC instead of the ABS. What experiance does anyone have between the two? What would look better? What is cannon? Which one is more durable. I'm going to make it a commander and I'm making it to centurion level. I was also wondering about the paint on PVC vs ABS. I know about ABS as that is what my TX is but wondered if the PVC would be a better option. Thanks for any help everyone. Ruck
  18. Hey Q just got my binders very very nice thank you! I am now more interested than ever in your E-11. Thanks again Q really nice work and please don't forget me when you do another run of your E-11, plus I also would like to get the black bindings with the bar in the middle but not right at this time I need to pay some bills lol. Ill drop you a line and hopefully you'll still be making them. Thanks again Bro!!! Ruck
  19. I'm in the process of building the Drunken Mynoch's outside amplification system, instead of drilling holes in my lid I took a wood burning tool with a very small bit and melted a slot in the ears between two bumps then cut the excess plastic away. Then I hot glued the mics in the ears behind the slot I made, you can barley tell its there you have to know its there to see it. I'm waiting on a padding kit to finish the lid so I can see how to run the wires and where to mount the sound boards, battery cases and switches. I also have three fans to install, one for the lenses which is a small computer fan, and the two others are squirrel fans to circulate air as I am hot blooded and Im a TX so I need the extra air movement. Waiting on parts just kills the time table! Plus I'm also putting the wireless mic and speaker system in, I'm currently waiting on Hyperdyne labs for there trooper sound board which looks like its not gonna happen cause he's been out of stock for at least a couple months. I sent him an email and he said he's only been out of stock for a couple weeks. I've been tracking his site for at least two months and he's been out of stock the whole time. Plus I've been reading the boards and similar posts have stated he's been out for 9 or 10 months. One post even stated they have been checking his site religiously for almost a year, so I don't know. I'm checking his site every day maybe he'll get some in, who knows. My discust in outdated sales threads is for another thread. I would post pics as I have a lot but I don't know how.
  20. That's cool that you let the kids hold it but to hold it up to a trooper.......... Not a good idea. I was a handler at a troop this last spring and there were many kids dressed up, a lot were Jedi, they had there own Walmart sabers. Our Darth Vader was taking pics with the kids and would hold up his saber for the pic and the kids started swinging at him. One kid thought he was a real Jedi and started swing real hard and before I could stop it he hit Vader in his helmet pitting a nice big scratch on it. The Mom was standing there and did nothing, she thought it was the greatest thing having her kid beat up Vader she was laughing. I finally stepped in and stopped the kid, but over all not a good idea with the saber and a trooper i would be pissed if a kid scratched my armor!! kids go too far and parents don't care.
  21. I don't think Mynock is doing those any more I've emailed him several times and so have others. He does however tell you all the components he uses and where to get them. Now he has posted a step by step photo diagram of how to put it together. Its very delailed a very good diagram even I can follow it. I am however altering it a bit. I have the components and just waiting on my armor. I'll post my progress and results when I'm done. I'm also going to put a wireless mic in my bucket and fans. I don't want any wires to mess with.
