NICE JOB!!! Im going Incinerator soon myself and love the pics.

Current wait on an ATA is 7 months, but like someone mentioned earlier you can pass the time putting your helmet together (Terrell almost always has spare helmets) and working on your weapons and other accessories so they are ready to go when it arrives.

Ive seen people metion using this on the ROTJ armor threads, hopefully someone can confirm if this is the right choice. --------

Still no pics yet but the guy just told me hes 6'2 and the armor fits him fine.....Im guessing that rules out ATA? Sorry for all the questions, its obvious Im still learning but have to admit I am intrigued (not with buying it at this point) just in getting to the bottom of this.

Thanks for the reply. I normally wouldnt have even pursued this but its close to me and at a really good price (another red flag) but worth investigating nonetheless. I know ATA puts identifying marks in the helmets. Will DEFINITELY post pics here before going to look at it.

Wondering if anyone can post the locations for identifiers or tags on the different kinds of armors out there? Im talking to a guy right now who has a set of armor he claims is made from "the molds sold by lucasarts" (in his own words) but he doesnt know who the maker is so Im wondering what I should be looking for if I drive up to take a look. It appears that TE, TE2, AM and ATA are the ones made from ROTJ suits and ANH helmets but Im at a loss as to what exactly Im looking for. Hopefully he will send me pics in the next day or so and I can post them here. Thanks

Anyone here any good at 3-d Modelling? If so this might be a project worth sending in to shapeways. They offer all different kinds of materials a replica could be made from.

Wondering if anyone has run into any issues with their armor fitting due to being really muscular? My brothers tease me all the time about my Popeye calves :-) Im pretty stocky @ 5'8" and 190 lbs but my thankfully everything else is to proportion so Im not expectin any issues anywhere else. Anyone have a set of ATA armor calves they could measure or can anyone provide any tips or tricks for fixing this? Thanks....zaptrooper aka Rob

I'll be ordering my full kit in a couple of weeks. Just got on a 7 month waiting list for my armor so plenty of time on my hands in the interim. I'll be sure to post build pics and let you know how the plast-dip works out.

I'm leaning very heavily towards one of these as well. Quick question? Has anyone tried spraying a completed blaster down with plast-dip before painting? Seems like it would seal it, protect it a little from accidental droppage and also match the finish fairly close. Any thought or ideas on this?

Im new myself but I dont think reading a few posts before jumping right in buying is a bad idea.

Thanks very much for this thread. After years and years of wanting to own my own stormtrooper armor I am finally ready to take the plunge. After reading through the whole thread I have a few questions that I'll leave up to the experts. I am 5'8 and a stocky 190 lbs, looking for a good entry level suit, complete with a fairly accurate helmet. I dont mind trimming and fitting pieces together as Im usually pretty handy. Cost is a concern but my ultmate goal is to join my local 501st in Virginia. Anyway I think thats it, Im looking forward to everyones advice.
