  1. moving along like a turtle....final cuts made on left forearms Sizing, measuring, and marking up areas to be cut on the right forearms
  2. hopefully ....I'm on the right track...won't trim til tomorrow
  3. Ok.....here is the trimming mapout...(left foreram) and yes...I still need to slice in the curve in the inside piece Top view (back end is to the left) Upside down (bottom)
  4. perfect....and that is what I figured I can do. Thank you for sketching it out!
  5. ok. that all makes sense. Measure for cover strip on the front. My question is...Did I F up the inner forarms so bad (in response to TK-4516's comments) that I need new ones and can not use these??
  6. I was hoping there would be some more feedback on my gigantic mistake. I'd like to think that shaping can fix this since I didn't trim anything down to my size yet. I already contacted vender about new innies...I have a real busy schedule this week. Will move on to another area of build as soon as I free up....
  7. I haven't cut anything to my size yet. I have small forearms. Where you see the spots labeled A,B with the little hash is an approximate spot where I would have to cut off for my forearms to fit myself using 5/8 wide cover strips. Now....that means the section (back edges) that I wasn't supposed cut down on the back of the inner forearm would actually have gotten cut off anyway as I cut down for my sizing....can my inner forearms be saved since I didn't cut for my sizing yet? Do I make sense?...also....the inner curves on the inner forearms have the return edges cut off and have to be sanded and smoothed.....that's why they look the way they do right now...
  8. O no.. I just taped them together to line up and cut off the access on top/bottom(wrist/elbow joint) areas. I still had to fit them to my forearm and then slice down each side.I was going to use 5/8 width cover strip....
  9. Its all good. Its my first time .......so.....looks like I'm learning the hard way lol. There are plenty more parts for me to work on (or in my case...screw up)....until I get new innies...
  10. haha...o great...I thought I was doing alright eyeing up photos....o man...thanks
  11. Day 2 Cutting off the real obvious overlap on the edge of the forearms...
  12. Day 1 Got rid of return edges on forearms and cut finishing strips for them......finishing strips are 5/8 wide...photo is on weird angle..makes the strips look like they are more wide on one end than the other....but they are not.......they are 5/8 from top to bottom......next up.......size up and trim forearms
  13. perfect..that's what I hope someone was going to say. Thanks!
  14. which outer bicep is left/right??....in the photo...the one on the left has a flat edge on one side(almost makes it easier to lay finishing strip on - even after trimming). The one on the right does not have a flat spot. Which would be left or right? I can make either work if I had to to. I'm just not sure if there is a correct/incorrect side for each....
  15. I do have a question. I skimmed the forum just now and couldn't find anything. 1 of the inner biceps have the thumb-like print indentation and the other does not. Which one is left and which one would be the right?
  16. Haha..I have multiple holsters! What I need is the best thread to follow to start the build. Can someone post the link here for me (:
  17. Here is a link to the actual building thread where I will be updating the build. The kit is here...and photos are in the thread.. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23285-ne-armor-build-thread/
  18. Ok. I started a thread a couple of weeks ago for my build. Thanks for the warm responses on it. I'm starting a new thread. I wanted to start a new one to include the name of the armor in the title. The kit is here. I will be building a (ANH stunt) Here are some photos....
  19. tracking # has been sent
  20. My AM/NE armor kit should be shipped to me next week. I will post photos and document the building of it here. It will be a slow process because of my life schedule. I wanted to start the post because I'm just getting very excited because it's about to happen (: I've learned (and keep learning) a ton from forum. I really appreciate the sharing everyone does on here. My current armor is an JR that I bought in 2010 before I learned of the forum. It was way overpriced and I had to turn it upside down and inside out (and spend even more $) in order for me to like it and be comfortable in it. Although, I did learn a lot about the crafting and how to work with armor. I think because of this I'll have a 1 up in the process of my first build. Hopefully pics will be up next week when my armor arrives!
  21. would these be the ones from Lowe's that are correct?-----------
