  1. I trimmed both inside and out. First I took the 2 pieces and wrapped them around my bicep. One overlapping the other. Then I marked the amount of extra. Then I trimmed both pieces little by little until they were sized right and so there seemed to be an even amount of meat on each side of the cover strip..... does this make sense?...the way I worded it? I posted the link to my build thread a few posts up on this thread if you want to check it out.....
  2. I think you're looking great so far. There's a lot to cut off of that armor if you're a smaller guy like yourself....good job...
  3. I think you are on the right track and looking good for the most part.....on the right bicep....it looks like you trimmed your inside piece more on one side (the bottom) more than the other side (top) . Watch that.....my concern is how the cover strip will fit on the bottom of that right bicep. It looks like it will just fit....if you trimmed it a hair more....your cover strip would sit over the fold in part...and that wouldn't be good...On the other side of that piece...you look just right...there is enough meat there.....I think you're ok. My point is...just watch the trimming...I hope that makes sense... (:
  4. Hey, good luck with the build! I completed my NE armor build with the exception of the helmet. Here is the link to my build thread...if it could be of any help! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23285-ne-armor-build-thread/
  5. This armor is geared more towards a bigger person. I got my armor from trooper gear. All of the armor parts have a good amount of extra ABS for the bigger body. I'm approx 210 Ibs and have some chunk in the middle and the armor worked out great. You are about 5 inches taller than me. I'm thinking you should be fine with this armor... Anybody can do this if they take their time and read through this forum for help, instruction, and advise......
  6. Thank you so much! I will definitely look into the the improvements you mention as far as the bottom of the biceps and thighs. Thanks again!!
  7. Here are my photos of corrections Back/kidney closer - corrected with smaller connecting straps ALSO notice more space between shin and thigh Top ridge of sniper knee plate was not flush (only on one side - the other side was fine) - now it is - corrected with glue and clamp Thighs raised by adjusting garter and trimming back of thigh return edge that was stopping my thigh from going higher - now we are good
  8. thanks for checking out my submission Everything you mention Eric can definitely be adjusted/improved Back plate and kidney closer together - yes - not sure if that is my bad posture or not creating that space in the that photo - I'll make necessary adjustments and post a new photo top ridge of sniper knee plate - I have to check - if that's the case a clamp and dab of glue will fix return edge of bottom of chest plate - I'd like to hear input from others on that one. I would keep it....or I can also slice a little off if it really has to be done thighs too low - I can raise them.. I can get on these fixes tonight or tomorrow depending on work schedule.
  9. Thank you. Yes....I am EIB approved as of this morning
