  1. Sounds great. Glad you're taking on this project.
  2. Happy to help although I can only give a little right now. PP sent.
  3. Hyperfirm is what I went with because as Ducati stated it's done for you and durable (just add a D ring and maybe some scope details). Also as davej states having something you feel comfortable trooping with and handing to kids, IMHO, is a fit for the hyperfirm. The obvious problem is the accuracy is lower due to the process of making it from a mold versus an assortment of individualized parts and is also not very apt to be modified although some have done it. There may be a waiting list for the hyperfirm right now too, if that affects your decision.
  4. Yes compared to waiting 18 weeks for armor, 3 weeks isn't so bad.
  5. These sight images are great. I also used an edited image of an odometer for the Hengstler counter. I took those pictures and had a 4x6 photo developed and then cut them out for use on my hyperfirm E-11. It may not be pretty but it beats having a plain bump. -----------
  6. I made a few mods so far. I used a picture I found online of an odometer for the counter and I used a picture of the sights from the forum to create a 4x6 photo. I had the photo developed and I cut the "decals" out and used some white glue on the "odometer" (as it may need replacing in the future) and used a magnifying loop from a Clip-On 7/8" Double 5X 5X Loupe Set from Amazon for the back glass (super glued). For the front sight I used a googly eye that I painted the inter barrel ---------- I still need to order a D ring and am debating about carving out the front sight posts...
  7. I'm planning on adding a D ring, mod the scope sight with some clear plastic and cross hairs, and possibly mod the barrel with a plastic tip. I have to do some more looking into what else I can do to polish the look. There are some good threads around here.
  8. 18 weeks is a long long time when you are new and anxious. The plus side is it forces me to do my homework on how to build and what mistakes I can avoid. There is a wealth of knowledge from those that built before.
  9. Yay! Mine is scheduled to arrive today. I plan on adding a D ring to mine and making any other light mods to get it up to standard for centurion. It gives me something to do while I wait on the ATA wait list for armor. Good luck!
  10. I nearly posted a thread yesterday with the same question! Please make a how to thread if it works out well. Good luck!
  11. I haven't seen anything advertised as being Elite ready. The differences in details needed for EIB and Centurion are on the CRL and can be found here in the forums. Stay with the approved vendors listed in this forum: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538&st=0
  12. Keep us posted. I have a few months until my armor will become available so I am taking notes on builds. Good luck!
  13. I do all my own stunts! Well, I will when my kit arrives... I'm on the waiting list for my armor (around 18 weeks) until then I'm doing my homework on build options.
  14. I just got on the list myself and it's a projected 18 week wait right now, but all the high praise they receive makes me believe it truly is worth it (as stated in this forum over and over
  15. I have a trooper that was recommended for a few things but has requested payment as a PayPal gift or by check. I'm tempted to send a check as he has been recommended several times in the forums here but I'm still feeling cautious any advice?
