Vern, thanks for catching that as well. I'll adjust it so I can be as acute as possible. When I bought my accessories here on the forums I just took for granted the fact that they were centurion/EI ready. I got burned kinda bad on my belt too. I would like to see an approval process put in place for on going sales. Just my opinion.

kupertrooper replied to kupertrooper's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
After getting approved by the 501st yesterday, WOOT!, I decided to work on this. Here is what I have so far. I would like to gauge the interest in these and I may develop something to offer here on the forums. ---------- -
Trimming Bucket Opening?

Mine's ABS. It worked out well. I took a quarter inch from the front and back. My ears catch a little but not as bad -

I'm not sure what your other body dimensions are, but a kid's armor set might fit you. You may keep that in mind while you search around these forums. -

I would love to trim my bucket to make it easier to get my head in. It's an AP helm and I love it but I'm going to get cauliflower ear one day from it because I have to SQEEZE my head in and its a PITA to get it off. Let me know if you think I have enough material to trim and where I should trim. I removed some of the S-trim in the pic to show what's there.

I need to paint the bolt on my E11. Should any metallic/gunmetal hobby paint suffice?

I want to go farther than basic. I guess I'll replace the canvas belt too. -
TKuper05's AP Build
kupertrooper replied to kupertrooper's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I contacted TKittell and he made a good point. The CRL clearly states the width of the belt should be 3-3.5" wide. Mine is 3 3/8". Belt For 501st approval: Belt face is made of plastic (TK ammo belt). Belt proper is made of canvas, canvas covered material, leather, or vinyl, 3â€(75mm) to 3.5â€(90mm) wide. The color is be white to off-white. The drop boxes dangle from the sides of the front plastic belt (ammo belt) via white straps and are aligned under the plastic tabs of the ammo belt. For level two certification (if applicable): Belt shall be canvas or canvas covered, leather and vinyl are not acceptable. There shall be three square buttons, one centered in the middle and one on each end of the plastic ammo belt.. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are closed in the back. The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle. -
