  1. I have some Trooperbay hand guards and they have turned an off white after many troops. I've tried washing them but can't seem to get them white again. Anyone else experienced this?
  2. Update. The new mic didn't fix anything. I did some more troubleshooting and it turns out that my wireless memorex system is causing all the muffle. It's like night and day.
  3. I remember this mic and searched and found this cool setup. ---------
  4. So did you sound all muffled before you got it?
  5. I have had an iComm and Aker setup and it seems like no matter what I do my voice comes out muffled. So bad that most people can't make out what I'm saying. I switched to a Rom/FX and still have the same issue. I've used the iComm uni-directional mic and the mic that comes with the memorex wireless unit. My helmet is AP and it's really tight in there. I've also tried the Aker's speaker facing both ways in my chest plate. Any ideas?
  6. Never though about putting it on putting it on my blaster....
  7. I was wondering if anyone has come up with a creative way to mount a GoPro to their armor? I don't want it to be too distracting. I think it would be pretty cool for a parade or something like that.
  8. Good idea. I have some spare ABS. I'll try some spray can clear coat on a test piece.
  9. Sup guys, I got to troop on stage with Weird Al! After the show I asked him to sign the inside of my bucket. Any way to protect it? He signed it with a sharpie. Will it be ok without anything protecting it? Video of the troop: ----------
  10. My headlight lenses are plastic not glass
  11. I just used a microfiber cloth. Used 3, then 2, then 1.
  12. I'm selling my car so I thought I would fix it up and try to polish my headlight lenses with Novus. WORKED AMAZINGLY. That is all.
  13. I seem to remember a post about how to attach your holster to your belt with snaps that looked fairly accurate. I can't seem to find it.
  14. I have a throat mic that I used back in the day for airsoft. I recently connected it to my iComm/Aker and I really like it so far. My other uni directional mic that came with the Aker was very sensitive to the music I would play through my Aker. I have to kinda speak louder than normal to sound loud and clear.
  15. I'm not sure if this will help but I noticed this guy sells the decals for this helmet. ETC tab, at the very bottom. http://www.order6t6.com/etc.php
  16. I can only speak about decals since that is all I've done. I was stressed out building my armor since I had invested so much in it and I'm also a worrier. The decals were one thing that I didn't have to worry about. People who swear by painting make great points though. They will tell you it's the most rewarding part of the build once you're done, it's more authentic/accurate, and that it's not as hard as you think it is. I painted my frown and ears and after that decided to do decals.
  17. You may consider thinner weatherstripping because they dont fit big wristed people very well.
  18. Peter, I updated the link in the first post for the amp. The only resistors I used were 10k ohm "pull down" resistors for the trigger and selector switch. I'm glad to read that you fixed your blaster. Isn't this place great!
  19. I made these the other day. They were surprisingly easy and cheap to make. 3" PVC, PVC glue, hinges, magnets, weatherstripping, and some eye screws.
  20. The wire is just some solid copper I got at ace hardware. I got the end caps there too. I think they were in the isle for chair end caps. They help when you slip the gloves on.
