  1. Fantastic news! Thanks so much Mathias. I framed my EIB certificate last night, looks like it'll have a neighbour very soon.
  2. Thanks Guys, getting four positive comments from Centurion Troopers makes me feel much more confident about it.
  3. Hehehehe.
  4. Great job so far Chris! I won't lie, polishing up my piece of clear acrylic after filing the curved edges was a real time consumer. From needle file, to sandpaper, to 240 grit sanding pad, to t-cut and then buffing it for an hour with a soft cloth. It really is a labour of love. Depending upon what sort of plastic you use may cause your results to differ. Even leaving the window flat is an option. The only person who it'll really matter to is you. Keep having fun with it, that's the main thing. Si.
  5. Thanks Charles. Thanks Bryan. No, no frown mesh in mine, I wear a balaclava.

  7. Simon Tainton 69069 EIB A4 Thanks in advance.
  8. Thank you Paul, your kit works wonders. Cheers Phil. Thanks Jeroen, I'm looking into that right now. lol
  9. Woohoo! Thanks Mathias, I can grow my fingernails back now. So glad to be in the 300. Thank you Glen, I'll have to update my sig pic to add my blue bar. Thank you Serge!
  10. Thanks for all the kind words guys! Hope your congrats weren't too soon, I'm sitting here biting my nails in anticipation.
  11. And let's not forget "snowie angels".

  13. Thanks Eric. No problem, be glad to help.
  14. Awesome idea Tony, have just done that.
  15. Soon as I take some updated pics.
  16. Maybe next year. Thanks buddy. I should have name checked you over on the UKG post after I re-read the 501st email and saw you cc'd in it. I had a feeling you had a hand in getting it sorted so quickly. Much appreciated mate, I owe you a pint.
  17. That was quick! Thanks Mathias?
  18. Cheers Phil. I don't think I'll be able to make Legoland though, Vicki has a milestone birthday around that time, we may be elsewhere that weekend. Fear not though, our trooping paths will cross before the year is out, I'm sure of it.
  19. I'm absolutely buzzing! Two hours ago I received confirmation that my armour was cleared by the UKG and then 20 minutes ago I got the email welcoming me to the 501st. I'm now officially TK 69069. Woohoo! I've posted on the 501st access thread, just have to get my induction troop sorted out. I won't sleep tonight! lol Si.
  20. Requesting 501st access. TK 69069 UK Garrison http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=15316 Thanks, Si.
  21. Thank you! Thanks Brian! Huge thanks to you Billy, your help during my build has been invaluable. Any "sit better" tips you have I'll gladly take on board. I shall get some whitener tonight but as for the drop boxes, I'll end up wrecking it if I change them now but I'll know better for my next build, I've PM'd you over on UKG about clearance, hopefully I'll be official pretty soon. And I've got Paul to thank for those black pan head screws. Cheers pal. That's good to know, thank you Mathias. I'll redo my bicep hooks tonight so that they sit lower (and shorten my elbow elastic too). Thank you Jeremy, I hope you get your holster soon. Praise indeed, thank you Paul. But I think you know what I'm going to say next... I couldn't have done such a good job without such great armour. I have read similar words on many forum posts during my research and while there are hundreds of descriptions and photos of your stuff scattered across all corners of the internet, nothing could have prepared me for what an absolute work of art this kit is. From the sweeping contours to the finest details, it has been an absolute joy to work with. I'm so glad I could do it justice.
  22. Thanks Glen. Yes, I'll do that Phil, but I'm seriously hoping that the weight will be already gone by then. Few more pics.
  23. Hi gang, Set up the studio tonight and got my girlfriend to snap a few pics. I know I won't be applying for EIB/Cent until I lose enough bulk to get my side gaps where they need to be, these pics are for your comments prior to me submitting for basic approval. I'm aching to get my TK digits! So, do you think there is there anything glaringly obvious that would stop me getting accepted? Si.
